Was this one of the last good Nick shows before the channel went downhill? I acknowledge i'm well outside of the Nick demographic, but it felt like not long after this show premiered in early 1997, Nick had become lifeless and repetitive with their scheduling. It still had some good shows even afterwards like Invader Zim, but the channel overall became more obsessed with money and merchandising their shows. It lost the soul the channel once had.
In 1997, Nick had Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Rugrats Doug, Clarissa Explains It All, Rocko's Modern Life, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Blue's Clues, Little Bear, The Secret World of Alex Mack, The Adventures of Pete and Pete and even My Brother and Me, despite that show ending in 1995 and only having 13 episodes ever. They even reran shows like Tiny Toon Adventures, Muppet Babies and the Beetlejuice cartoon. Even Hey Dude was still on, despite ending in 1991.Nick got rid of so many of their pre-1998 shows to the point that by the end of 2001, they only had Doug, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Little Bear, All That, Kenan and Kel and Blue's Clues left when it came to pre-1998 ones.
