What makes this trilogy so unique and iconic?
>>
>>222345996
You were probably a child when you saw it
>>
>>222345996
I'm surprised that none of the video game tie-ins prematurely used any of the future movie villains
>>
>>222346066
Had Spider-Man 4 happened, the main villain would've been Vulture, that already appeared in the 2002 game.

AI sloppa.

Raimi style and humor is very one of a kind and modern capeslop just can't capture it

They still use Whedon humor as a template which undercuts any dramatic tension in the story
>>
>>222345996
They are great films. The struggle of Peter is genuine and honest.
>>
>>222345996
It was less serious and more comical. Easy plot to follow. Kept it simple stupid. Less cringe
>>
>>222345996
Spider-man 3 was so bad & horrible that it killed the franchise and Sony didnt make a Spider-Man for another 6 years.
>>
>>222346283
Speaking of Raimi sense of humor, the characters had personality and lives beyond the protagonist, that was cool. They had no problem being selfish.
>>
>>222345996
They were good until raimi did the classic mistake of pairing up Peter and MJ before the end making the relationship drama feel annoying and contrived in the third. What made them good to me was how it intertwined the Peter and Spider-Man persona and how they both affected each other. Combine this with some good villains and directing giving you a fantastic superhero film.

The third movie destroyed what should have been the greatest trilogy of all time. Sorry MCUcels. The third movie sank the trilogy so hard the Nolan (I hate him btw) Batman trilogy leapfrogged ahead(and that's with TDKR). That's how bad is the 3rd installment is.
>>
>>222345996
3 is my favorite but never liked Harry's version of the Green Snowboarder

Doesn't Venom say something corny like
>"I like being bad, because bad feels good!"
>>
>>222346537
>Sorry MCUcels
The raimi trilogy isn't part of the mcu in fact they dislike it for being better than mcu Spider-Man. You're right though that third movie is rough which sucks because the second movie doesn't end fully resolved.
>>
>>222346581
The line is
>I like being bad, it makes me happy
>>
>>222345996
third movie was dogshit. 1 and 2 are the only good ones and the last good capeshits in general

I just don't understand why Marvel kept Avi Arad around after his endless string of bafflingly retarded decisions regarding Spiderman
He is THE reason Spiderman 3 was the way it was and why the Garfield movies were awful
>>
>>222345996
Never liked Tobey as Peter. He looks like he's half retarded half asleep and a goober. Entirely the wrong type of characterization for Peter.

I always thought Topher Grace (who ironically played Brock) would be the perfect Peter Parker.
>>
>>222346663
I understand why he was on Spider-Man 3 because he was still the marvel exec at the time. I guess Sony kept him around due to him being involved in most marvel movies at the time even though he didn't work at marvel anymore. From there the working relationship between him and Sony was probably so strong they just decided to not break ties and most of Spider-Man movies outside ASM2 have been financial successes.

Sam Raimi (kinosmith)
>>
>>222345996
They were actual movies and not undiluted extended universe world building comic book autism. Now that the hype of marvel’s big project has died, even normalfags are quietly realizing that shit like the avengers were not actually good films, and that everyone who got suckered into liking it admired it not as a movie but as the culmination of a nerd fantasy for the ultimate high budget clusterfuck of pure nerd autism. It’s like the industry asked an 8 year old pudgy kid with glasses what they should spend all their money making.
>>
>>222346283
Why didn't Peter just fuck one of those 3 after he won the match?
>>
>>222346740
He's partially Puerto Rican, that might be way
>>
>>222346367
>directly meddle with sam raimi and his plan for the movie
>force him to include the venom which he has no understanding of or interest in
>movie suffers because of this
>sony then fires raimi and reboots everything because it flopped (sony's fault)
I love capitalism
>>
>>222345996
It's being overrated. I saw most of the Raimi trilogy when it came out, worshipped Evil Dead and whatnot. It feels like something you're supposed to grow out of. The only Raimi I can watch as an old man is Triumph of the Will.

The 'Home' titles, so creative!

The Brand New Day sequel is going to be called Garbage Day and Spidey has to fight Garbage-Man (like Sandman but made out of living trash)
