>>222352390Matthew Good Band was fucking terrible
>>222353728and what chuddy music did you listen to? probably some fag shit like nirvana
>>222352390Weird Canadian stuff for a while.
Heavens Coming Down by The Tea Party plays right after... https://youtu.be/_bx347ilv64
I hate Canadians
>>222353728I liked their hit songs. I remember during Covid living in BC and just cycling through the nature there while listening to them. Really kino times
>>222353773Canada in 1999 was probably still nice. My friend went to Ontario recently and said it was a shitshow
>>222352390good timesi remember a music video of a band playing naked the girl was a bassist and had her tits out could never found it
>>222353742Prozzak! (they came out of Toronto) . Literally like a lower budget version of the Gorillaz, and debuted the same year... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3MtqWz4XuE
>>222353742Are these guys bog disciples?
>>222353777Hello time bomb is nails on a chalkboard to me. There’s something about Matthew Good’s voice which makes every song he performs sound terrible. To each their own but I stand by my opinions. >>222353736The Hip, but this kind of comparison is like a boxing match between Tyson and a toddler covered in ears
Fuck... remember Sky? no? maybe for the best... https://youtu.be/I7ELtWAq-Vk
>>222353696Ed the Sock plus Len = kinohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrVMjk92mV4
>>222352390>switch back and forth between this and the quebec equivalent Musique plusI enjoyed the MP because they would often play shit outside of the west late at night or some more off the chart things. It's how I discovered Starlight by superman lovers
>>222354117I loved Our Lady Peace. I was shocked that they were a canadian only band when I tried talking about them to some American friends.
>>222354218Yeah they are truly national treasures. We don’t make them like we do in the 80s and 90s anymore
>>222353742>good times>i remember a music video of a band playing naked the girl was a bassist and had her tits out could never found itThe video is all sorts of fucking weird: https://youtu.be/5DdABvSTA0IDid B4-4 just have the one hit single and disappear into the night? They were riding on the boy band fad of 1999...
>>222352390All the independent stations were killed off and consolidated during the federal conservative years. Herr Harper killed Canadian culture.
>>222354403>The video is all sorts of fucking weird:>https://youtu.be/5DdABvSTA0I [Embed]>Did B4-4 just have the one hit single and disappear into the night? They were riding on the boy band fad of 1999...Meant to quote... >>222353742
>>222352390Was this the canadian mtv? Or was that fuse?
I HEAR YOU CALLLLLLINGCALLING FOR ME EVERY NIGHT
>>222353896>The Hipwhat are you fuckking 50?
>>222354907it's calling for me out in the night not "every night" you god damn mother fucking stupid piece of shit
>>222355228don't care, my way is better
>>222354218Our Lady Peace was in heavy rotation on US rock stations for a few years, especially the Whyeee Whyeee Why song
>>222354907GIVE UP THE GRUDGESHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTHWHY YOU GOTTA JUDGE EVERYBODY BUT YOURSELF
>>222352390>Turn on channel 30 in the mid 2000s>I CANT ESCAPE THIS HELL
>>222355586"your way" doesn't exist and isn't a thing you stupid fucking faggot. and don't samefag your own post so obviously
>>222354419He was still PM over a really good period of canadian culture, all things consid
>>222352390https://youtu.be/PuEpoYIsk_AMatthew Good had some feels tier songs idc what the haters say
>>222353773I hate Canadian (Chinese, Indian) but I love Canadians (Scottish descent)
i think it was bravo that played random music videos every school morning, stuff that you wouldn't see even on The WedgeSaw lots of good stuff there
>>222353815it is, canada is full of shitskins, niggers and chinkscanada no longer has nice Canadians since the foreigners ruined everything
>>222356645>and don't samefag your own post so obviouslyyou are actually retarded
When Alexisonfire's Pulmonary Archery first came out, I felt like I had been struck by lightning. Never heard music like that before.
>>222357111bravo did have one show that played music vids, dont recal what but its how i came across norah jones. it had new or not very well known artists, or anything that didnt fit on much music
Is it just me or was Sarah McLachlan really, really fucking hot
>>222357275>or anything that didnt fit on much musicthey had the boomer much station for that
>>222357456i didnt know of that channel till mid 2000's since it was another specialty channel so it wasnt in the normal cable packages so you would have had to pay extra
>>222353696The creators wife is hot
>>222357671I found nude photos of her back in the early 2000s before she died her hair.
>>222354798yes, they're the same thing, fuse was the rebrand. much had a longer run of music video programming than MTV, imo. I was lucky enough to have reliable directv service in that era which got me access to a couple canadian channels and BBC. MTV was shifting to almost exclusively reality tv before 2006 and much/fuse lasted as a music centric channel til' at least 2010. Much used to play alot of metal, too
>>222354419The internet killed Canadian culture, or do you believe music video channels are thriving elsewhere? Our companies relied too heavily on distributing U.S. content rather than building up much of their own. Once people were able to get that content from the source, the middleman that is (was?) our media companies became obsolete. It's actually kind of shameless how Bell is responding to the threat of them losing HBO content by reviving boomer leafslop like Littlest Hobo and Meatballs. Anything with a shred of notoriety.Canada used to be a powerhouse in kids content, animation especially. The last Canadian shows that achieved any kind of international notoriety were Paw Patrol and Total Drama. Both were created during the Harper years.Turdeau didn't believe there was a Canadian culture anyway. We're a post-national economic zone, after all.
>>222352390you learn something new every day
>>22235381590s Canada was a different universe completely
>>222357255I felt that feel anon, still my favourite band 24 years later.>>222354403Go Go is also a really solid track, haven't listened to the rest of the discography (lol) though.
