>>222358438Fun fact: Stacey Dash was supposed to be Cher and Alicia Silverstone was supposed to be a grunge “street” girl with money, but Stacey Dash couldn’t shake her Bronx accent so they blacked her up. This movie LITERALLY destroyed grunge culture and ushered in the preppy phase that led into the early 00s era where all girls just wanted to be hot and act like rich white girls. Or what they thought rich white girls were like.
>>222358438You’re not a woman, never will be in fact

>>222359714Oh these young fuckers don’t even know what we had going on in the late 90s with black girls that acted white. For a brief moment it seemed like we had achieved peace on earth.

>>222359637I seriously doubt that. Source?
>>222359803No if you watch Clueless you’ll see where they shifted roles with Brittany Murphy’s character and Stacey Dash’s. Brittany Murphy was supposed to be grungy the whole way, but then they turned her into a “pretty girl” halfway through. They thought the movie was gonna flop hard so they financed it heavily by marketing clothes and high end product placements. It was like the first movie to do that.
>>222359911Her words plus dvd director’s commentary. Saw a documentary on MTV about it too. This movie was a big fucking deal when it came out.
>>222359981You're wrong. silverstone was specifically cast as the lead cher. She didn't even have to audition for it.
