Everyone talks about Jan Hooks which is deserved but I really liked Ana Gasteyer, She was capable of leading quieter sketches in a typically shouty era of SNL.
My black guy pick is Tim Meadows. He was just really versatile and took on a lot of the Phil Hartman straight man/utility stuff after Phil left.
