is cooper reddit..?
>>
>>222362548
No. Cooper is authentic and genuine in every way and a man of solid character.

Redditors are the opposite. They are performative faggots with no actual principles and have no character.

It's the definition of comfortable. Watch season one at least, and if you like it go onto season 2.

Don't spoil anything for yourself, just enjoy it.

Most of it, except for some parts that very decidedly arent. Until you get to the movie. From that point onward it isn't, except for some parts that very decidedly are.

Just watched ep 10 of season 2. There's a clear tonal shift happening, and it got me wondering. Is this the point where Lynch left the show because of creative differences? I can't put my finger on it but there's a clear tonal difference, especially when I try to compare the pacing between the earlier episodes vs ep 8 onwards.

Season 1 is extremely comfy. 2 is just okay. 3 is hardly comfy, but it's the best season and it's worth watching all of it to get there.
>>
>>222365044
Yes. I mean, it's pretty clear cut. There's a ten episode stretch after the murder is resolved where neither Lynch nor Frost were present in the writers room and the rest of the crew was basically just throwing shit at the wall. There's an episode at the end where Lynch, as Cole, literally comes in personally to bring the plot back.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I think S2E9 is the corniest and most contrived episode of the entire series and I've skipped it on rewatches for years until a week ago. S2E8 isn't quite as bad but it still makes Leland look like a cartoon villain.
>>
>>222362788
it is essentially the perfect show, so yes

Every show and move ever made is Reddit.
Entertainment is Reddit.

Leland is a victim, not a villain.
>>
>>222362548
only if you idolize him
>>
>>222365728
FWWM does a much better job of exploring that without having him make ridiculous werewolf noises while a supernatural force removes him from all culpability.

can we stop it with this meme already
>>
>>222362548
no hes essentially a absolute old school flag saluting boy scout turned government man. literally, Lynch was a high ranking boyscout that instilled those qualities in Cooper.
>>
>>222365802
But FWWM also turned Donna into a whore, so there's that.
>>
>>222365869
That's a bit reductive. He clearly had some darkness in his past and once in a while it does come through that he can be a pretty hard nosed cop when he wants to be. The whimsical wholesome goofball shtick is clearly not all there is to him.
>>
>>222365929
never said hes all whimsy hugs and kisses. But he's definitely cut from a tree thats not entirely sardonic about his country and values. Hoovers wet dream.
