Just watched it, good movie I must say, I really liked some parts of it and it captures the feeling of such infinite irrational liminal spaces well. However, the ending fucking sucks and the fact that there's too many questions left unanswered. How the fuck is MRI related to the discovery of Backrooms? How does ASYNC profit from exploring the backrooms? And yeah, sure, it's some sort of memory corruption space or whatever that duplicates objects but that's about it, it's like noclipping out of reality and wondering why the outside is fucked up. I really hoped they wouldn't butcher the ending while I was watching but they sure fucking did. Fucking hell. I love the concept, I love how there was found footage style stuff mixed in and I love it overall, but for fucks sake I demand MOAR LORE...

The ASYNC guys remind me of habitat management autists I have worked with, utterly hollow husks of people who live to work and if you ask them if they can take you to the exit because you want to go home they ignore your question and your voice so completely it's scary. They're putting in a 12 hour day and there's nothing you or their wife can say to make them take a break. They're drones down to cellular level and that makes them scarier than the entities.
