How can you tell they're veneers
>>222393679you can't beat the guk ntl, it was over when she first saw him
>>222393548those are some downright sinful soles
>>222393700They look like Park Bo Young's teeth.
you'll just try to steal my line of kdg credit again, pointless. should have thought about that when i did have it on
>>222393712In Guk is really good in The Smile Has Left Your Eyes so far - really good in that role of the scrappy, know-it-all dude.
>>222393712however...
I skipped the last threads because bopeep was being a little dictator and ntl was actually right for once (about the Agent Kim votes coming from different countries, disproving bopeep's lame "airplane mode" cheating theory) and after bopeep pitching a fit and leaving ntl took that as his cue to start a thread with gay shit in the OP.What's been going on chingus?
>>222380940>damask hellscapeI always thought Korean set/interior design from that period was quite uncanny in general (in the sense that nothing ever seems to fit together). Picrel is an absolute gem I found earlier. Wainscoting, smooth painted drywall, wallpaper and faux-brick columns all crammed into a single space is absolutely unhinged kek. The conspicuous "luxury" decor is the cherry on top.
>>222393770who's that on the right with the nice feet?
>>222393766i didnt make the BL thread. i post buff shirtless men, not dudes kissing. that is the work of another chingu!
Love me some feet

i love watching two men kissing. reminds me of me and gym oppa.

ntl is a total fag. should leave the general so we can be schizo free except for cuckzy who bothers no one.

>>222394060Who is going to be the Tito of kdg to keep the different factions together?
she wont let you buy her a purse unless you are her boyfriend
>>222394042i thought it wrapped up the drama well. the best romance in the show was between Ji-Hyun's parents.
>>222394184>>222394203she's not patrician enough for boudoir it seems
>>222393799Not sure, I got the screenshot from Avistaz. The show is called New Tales of Gisaeng. She kinda looks like Han Ye-seul there..
>>222394228I don't think they're her feet though, i would recognize them from anywhere.
>>222394184To preface, I'm not hating, I have weirder tastes, but I can't be the only one that feels deeply unattracted to the ultra-luxury constantly flexing designer superficial shit and obsession with status, right? It's one of the things I dislike the most about Korea.
>>222394220We have one kdg chingu who can buy Hermes for his wife. I like this frugal office wear on SYAWT too.
>>222394249I feel the same way chingu.
I didnt know kdramas had this much feet, quite based. But I wonder whats the reason? Was it always like this?
>>222394274Are you a woman?
>>222394274No. Too loosely fitting. She needs closely fitted skirt and shirt - proper female officewear.
>>222394249I'm a mall fashion guy too. But, if buying designer bags makes her giddy then making her giddy makes me giddy.

>>222394357but im heavier and much stronger than you, chingu!
>>222394339As mousefag 1, bopeeper's insincerity was getting to me desu. He did so much gaslighting. It reminded me of those serial killer stories where the person is a really manipulative psycho. It's fun to see that sort of thing in kdrama but not experience it through kdg.
>>222394308Yoona, Arin, SuzyYes all three for me. All mine

>>222394381Shhhh there there, he can't hurt you anymore mousefag. It's all over now. Mouse away!
>>222394248Yeah I just meant that it kinda looks like her, she's not listed in the cast anyway.
>>222394334As a moid, I prefer the loose images. The second one feels like it's trying too hard to be traditionally sexy and so it loses its sex appeal for me.
>>222394385Looks like we're in for a rough night darling >:(
>>222394381well now you have to keep us all together. no pressure!
>>222394417you might be as gay as ntl
>>222394438I don't think I'm up for it. I'm not great with confrontation.

basically, while expensive, designer brands "cut the noise out" so the relationship can be all highs and the hit is on your bank account instead. some may find that shallow but it's just an option to be used.

>>222395181I was kidding; I am pretty sure that is a /b/ meme too, but yeah, jokes aside, in 2002, the Yangju highway "incident" happened, where two teenage girls were run over and killed by an American tank in Korea, which Psy wasn't exactly the biggest fan of (no surprise), and then:>In 2004, South Korean translator and Christian missionary Kim Sun-il was kidnapped and beheaded in Iraq after the South Korean government refused to reconsider sending its armed forces to support the Iraq War.>During a concert, Psy admonished the Iraqi kidnappers, condemned South Korea's former president Roh Moo-hyun, and also sang along to lyrics of the song "Dear American" by South Korean rock band N.EX.T, which criticizes the United States military for its actions in the Iraq war>An initial translation of the lyrics was posted in CNN. Some of the lyrics, referring to the guards who tortured Iraqi prisoners, were translated by CNN as follows: "Kill those fucking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives and those who ordered them to torture" and "Kill [the Yankees'] daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers / Kill them all slowly and painfully."

>>222395385The Originals is better

>>222398349Honestly, I didn't even know I was that into sweaty girls until I saw this. That is at least the third unlocked fetish via k-dramas!
>>222398374Oh, past self from three years ago making me proud.
>>222398451>>222398374ahahahahahahahaha!6.5 though? that's harsh
>>222398477I try to treat 5 as totally middle of the road -- nothing special, but also nothing offensive either. Probably harsh by others' standards, but 6.5 is still above average for me!Not sure how fair that rating was, though. Maybe one day I'll go back and see it again.
>>222398477>6.5 is harshThat's just how you end up with basically every show (barring extreme outliers) sitting somewhere between 7 and 9, which completely defeats the point of having a 10-point scale in the first place and makes the scores practically useless. The average MDL user would unironically be better off with a simple 3-point system: dislike, neutral, like
>>222398729yeah true. my lowest rated show is a 6 heh.
Starting Moon River
>>222398831Don't do it!
>>222398783That's okay.. I've come to accept that most people seem to rate like that, regardless of what website it is. I'm just a little autistic about giving a more """objective""" score.
>>222399107yeah i really should try and make a more robust system and write down the paramaters. alot of stuff i've given high ratings to. do you have any high rated shows? or have you yet to even crack an 8.5/10?nice horsejak, never seen that before.
>>222398729I need an easier way to re-rank these. My biggest issue with my list is that, while perhaps not much compared to some others, I've got quite a bit on here, and it gets difficult to even remember what happened in some of these. Also the rankings on my earliest entries are probably inflated a decent bit, between a lack of reference points and being excited to discover this "new world".
>>222399323NiceNow post your lowest rated shows
How many 9s and above do others have?>>222399323Pegasus Market genuinely worth the watch? I wanted to see it originally since Park Ho-san is supposedly in it, but when I saw every release uses a frame-rate of 30000/1001, I got a little scared.Did you notice the smoothness, by the way? And were you able to tell whether it felt like fake frames or a genuine ~30 FPS production? When I watched History of the Salaryman, it didn't really bother me since it's seemingly native, but oh my god, I cannot stand the Korean OTT rips that bake-in frame interpolation!!
>>222399732Hey. My top ten is in here. Nice.
>>222399961kek. sorry
>>222398846Is it bad?
>>222400054I don't know. Haven't seen it. Just wanted to give you some time to think about it.
historical drama facial hair is so retarded. They look so fake
>>222400089I'm partial towards lip filler and jaw surgery
>>222399732Twinkling Watermelon a 4 :(Mine are attached. I haven't seen too many I actively dislike, though, so not too many below five.
>>222400117A shop for killers S2 a 4.5 :(good job on Agent Kim, I have it at 5, but 1 is hilarious
>>222400169It might not be that bad (Shop for Killers), but the first episode kind of pissed me off. And I had only /just/ started S2 after seething over Agent Kim's mediocre AI-filled extravaganza, so I was probably quite biased in the moment!
>>222393866Forget love its now k-situationship 5 men juggled by one woman the ideal number per bopooper
>>222400237If it weren't for things like the massive multi-minute AI-generated sequence, I'd probably have just given Agent Kim a 5/10 and called it a day. However, and you guys can call me a fag, but I sort of saw it as an existential threat -- if it does well (which it did), I can only assume we'll see more and more heavy use of AI. To me, that is what made it cross the line from "generic turn-your-brain-off action" to something that should be shunned.
>>222400237>Twinkling Watermelon a 4 :(I went into this hoping for time travel kino a got a pretty generic teenage romcom instead, which kind of pissed me offAdd to this the completely bogged ML which makes the whole thing hard to look at, and the cringey / incestuous relationship with his dad...the SML/SFL actors and storyline were good though, which is why I completed the show instead of just dropping it
>>222400350That's fair. I went into it blind as per usual, so I had no idea what to expect. I enjoyed the bizarre dad-bromance, but I can totally see it not being others' thing.
>>222395138How do I stretch my hip flexors?
Just finished Sticky Love and there were no other men in that. Pretty fun ride, although the twist at the end was completely unnecessary as well as the villain flip flopping with his motivations.
>>222400441Why are based dramas like this with straightforward, sincere love so rare?
>>222400441Ok sounds like a good time, added to the list! cheers anon!
>>222400441>there were no other men in thatHave to ask but are you telling us the truth? I cannot waste another 7-8 hours on something that turns into a multi man ksituationship
>>222399323I do have quite a few 8+ rated shows actually. You could just start simple by giving individual scores for narrative, production, and then a subjective category (like “enjoyment” or whatever) and take the average of those. That's how I do it at least. >>222399335Sucks that there's no bulk editing feature on mdl. You could probably vibeslop a little tool that can do it.
>>222400600Try the story of parks marriage contract
>>222400600>>222400646Or this
>>222400646this scene looks cute...but then you remember that this chick smells like fermented cabbage...
>>222400600If you want know exactly her relationship situation then she does have an ex boyfriend, but he's a traitor and a mole, who she doesn't even meet in the show, he just gets tortured and beaten up. She doesn't remember him obviously, as she has amnesia. At one point she finds out about him and then at first decides to go meet him, but backs off midway, because she decides she wants to be with the ML no matter what.
Spooky in Love is completely carried by people’s love for Park Eun Bin, myself included, she is emotionally manipulating us into watching low effort shows
>>222394060quilt noona sarang-hae's you too, chingoo!

(sorry hoyeon i still love you)>>222399786i thought pegasus market was fun and silly. right up my alley. as for quality, i have the mr hulk amzn version which is 30000/1001, i never thought it looked strange. maybe a bit of outlining on the characters at times. maybe get the first episode and see for yourself? >>222400117nice. you don't fuck around with ratings ahahahahaha
>>222400802go watch Castaway Diva if you dare then

>>222400877What about the mayors aide? They had pictures taken together. Did he fabricate them? If so, then I missed it.
>>222400877Regardless. They didn't have a relationship in the show itself.
please bros spoil that shit, the show released like yesterday
>>222400877In the first flashback to when the ML and FL met in Japan 8yrs ago she mentioned she's getting over her first love.
>>222400916They were pretending to be together so she could be invited to that party in the first episode
>>222400809Cute! And thank you quilt noona.Speaking of, one day I should try quilting; my mom's mom died before I was born, but I still got to know more about her through all the quilted and crocheted blankets and other stuff that we still have. Would be kind of sad for grandma to be the last generation, you know?
>>222400849ehh…I tried once
>>222400802Genuinely, though. I don't think the show is bad or anything, but I don't think I'd be sitting here watching weekly if it were not for my queen.
>>222400849I finished it. Is it that hated? I thought it was fine.
>>222400962True, but wasn’t she talking about the time she met the ML in that boxing match when they were young? At least that was what I thought
>>222401113Since you actually watched the whole thing, how bad is the love triangle plot line?I assume most people here dropped it because of it, I would be willing to give it a second chance if it’s not too bad
>>222400646>>222400677I already watch both. Park was ok but Mr Oh bored me to tears. I do agree she was a one man woman.
>>222401008i totally support you learning how to quilt! it's even easier these days with pre-cut square fabrics. if you wanted to dip your toes in without investing in a whole lot of equipment, just get a few packs of some 5" squares in colors and patterns that you like, and just work on sewing those together. once you get those basics down and decide you like it, then invest in getting all the things to make more intricate designs. sewing is one of those things that you learn by DOING tho, so just DO IT lol i also get a lot of kdramas watched while i sew, so there is some synergy there XD
>>222393770>>222394228>New Tales of GisaengFunnily enough, that's from the same writer as Princess Aurora kekBut yeah, uncanny is a good way of putting it. Just a bunch of random bullshit put together with very little attempt to make it look cohesive or like a place people might actually live in. And the beds always made crinkling noises. They had to be sourcing their materials solely from clearance sections and shit that stores could not get rid of. I really don't want to believe their aesthetic senses were actually that fucked up
>>222400600Love in Sync
>>222400802She is the only reason I keep watching. I don't think it will hurt her career but it won't help
>>222401249>how bad is the love triangle plot line?it's the exact same one as Secretary Kim, you know two brothers, amnesia, switching places etc. beyond retarded
watching a mediocre drama just for your favorite actress is a fundamental part of the kdrama experience
>>222400802Yeah. It is a mediocre at best drama but I appreciate that she's still putting in the effort despite it all
>>222400829>forgot ratings
>>222401331I'm burned out on the gender swap genre. There has been some decent shows. Moon River I liked despite the gender swapping. But I'm done for a while.
>>222401249Honestly, I don't remember. It wasn't a bad show, but it also didn't etch tons and tons of scenes into my memory either.Spoilers for Castaway Diva; don't mouse over if you don't want them: I believe it was just, like, some secondary plot device rather than anything all that important. And no one got truly cucked, I don't think; IIRC, 1. Both men are siblings 2. The sibling with the weakest ties to her does eventually follow the bro-code and backs off after realizing and coming to terms with the fact the love was never meant for him.
>>222401494There's no gender swapping in Love in Sync though
>>222393548Damn you anon, damn you.
>>222401492Lol. Has anyone else finished or tried that Chicken Nugget one? Is it as silly as the premise sounds?>>222401269Thanks! Pre-cut sounds like good advice. For you, though, do you do much cutting of existing textiles? And is there anything you look for in particular (either positive or negative)? Like, as ignorant male programmer-brain, I'd imagine some fabrics are easier to work with, or something unique catches your eye for scrapping and integrating, but maybe you can just tell the material quality sucks or whatever. But yeah, I figure sewing itself is one of those skills that looks deceptively easy as an observer, but I'll probably quickly find out just how important practice was in making it appear that way. Oh last thing, but do you hand sew much or is this all with a machine?P.S. Not sure if you saw before passing out the other night, but I replied a little late Re: Sticky Love in the previous thread >>222387235Sounds like some other people already finished binging, though, so they've probably got a more fleshed out opinion.
Wait a fucking minute. Is the FL in Moon River the princess who supposedly died in the river and she just lost her memories? Was her adoptive mother working at the palace and hid her since she was supposed to kill herself?
>>222401298>the same writer as Princess AuroraThose random ass columns in the staircase... she must have had some dirt on the production design team to get that greenlit kek. Looking back, the sets in My Love From the Star really had the perfect ratio of random shit just put together to comfy faux-luxury. The peak of the trashy (but soulful) mid 2010s set design era.
>>222402274shhhh
watch we are all trying here for the little rat
>>222402211>Lol. Has anyone else finished or tried that Chicken Nugget one? Is it as silly as the premise sounds?it starts off promising, then at somepoint, it falls off a cliff.
>>222402211chicken nugget is silly and great and also pretty brief --so i think it's worth a watch. it plays on all the different kdrama tropes if you're familiar with them oh yeah interesting how you describe sticky love with maybe some action thrown in there too. i will add and watch it at some point. sewing-related: i do a lot of sewing--not just quilts, but quilts are my favorite, and my favorite quilt is the /kdg/ quilt. i've sewn plushies, quilted pillow covers, curtains ofc, tops, pants, dresses, formal evening gowns, wedding dresses, costume ren-faire stuff, other costuming, random things like behind-car-seat organizers, tote bags, like all the things. i've used all the different types of fabrics. i have a sewing machine that can also do quilting and embroidery from a CAD-like design program. i have another machine that does professional stitching for seams and edges and whatnot. i also do hand-sewing in some situations when it calls for it. i have a home sewing workshop. i'm all self-taught cause youtube didn't exist when i was learning how to sew XD anyway, if you want to make a quilt, you want 100% cotton fabrics. it is very easy to work with and kind of the "typical" quilt fabric. in person, you can assess the thinness/quality of the fabric for yourself by looking and feeling it, but online you have to go by reviews of other people saying "this is see-thru" to know if it's shabby. some fabric makers like "moda" or other big names, you can just trust the fabric is good quality. me, personally, i only buy the pre-cuts in solid white or whatever for background quilt design purposes. because i have a ton of cottons already begging to be cut up and sewn. and i also have the self-healing cutting mat, see-through ruler, rotary cutter, etc. if you don't know that you'll like quilting, just buy the 5" cotton squares and skip all that. i sew my quilt pieces together all with a machine, but you could hand stitch it if you wanted.

pby unnie... I need you... If you're out there, I've got people coming over in an hour for movie night. Is Almost Che a decent pick? They tend to like absurdist humor and black comedy -- e.g.,- Survive Style 5+- Fallen Angels- Save The Green Planet- Going by the Book- Adams Æbler- The Good, the Bad, the Weird

So, like, by "CAD", I'm assuming you can program it to follow a particular path, like how CNC machines and stuff work? What model is that one, if you don't mind me asking? I kind of wanna see how that looks in action.
