There is a huge amount of material from which to draw a series but, instead, they hired a bunch of writers who publicly said they didn’t play the games or read the books. They just pulled this crap out of the air with no regard for any of the characters.

This isn't a huge issue to me, but it's out of place in Sci-Fi fantasy.This has made watching TV a waiting game. I have to listen to some BS story about a retard woman in power or some minority clan who is being oppressed in some way. They could have made an Asian spartan with ties/sympathy to rebels instead of devoting half the show to a teenager girl.There are plenty of other things to write about in Halo: ONI, Covenant politics, rival hyper lethal spartans (like Noble 6 since we're not following canon), the arbiter, forerunner tech/lore. Some of these involved minorities and women in games.This show is just a complete fail and should be treated as such.

A rag tag group of ODST are assigned who gradually get picked off during the next 45 minutes of tight paced action setpieces. Climactic final push into a covenant cruiser where chief blows it up and escapes on a pelican, mission accomplished. Cortana says something that is a sequel hook, smash cut to black with DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS! blaring. Mid credit scene where the dickneck worm guy says something and a brute walks out of the shadows.
