Why was the Odyssey so successful?I haven't watched it, should I?
is it tran because it's of vietnamese descent or because of trannyism

>>222488808It was a Chris Nolan movie that got huge amounts of free Twatter advertising
>>2224888081. Nolan clout, he is one of the few Directors still capable of selling a movie on his name.2. He sold this movie as a theater-only "You got to watch this on IMAX, bro"-like experience3. Oppenheimer momentumThe casting controversies did little to nothing for normies, even the two biggest anti-woke YouTube critics, Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker admitted multiple times that the movie would make money.

imax tickets cost 40 so basically if this movie was actually released like a real movie it would have made 1/4th as much profit, maybe 600mil
>>222488808Still not watching it. Fuckers.

I'm honestly surprised people ever though Odyssey was gonna fail. That's such a bizarre and absurd take. Though I will admit I thought it'd only make around $400 million. 1 Billion is pretty insane.Still not watching it though.
>>222488808>I haven't watched it, should I?It's entertaining and spectacular albeit quite shoddy for such an hyped production. It is midly interesting to talk about outside of /tv/ if you have friends to watch it with. I had a good time
>>222488808Retards spend lots of money on bad movies all the time. Multiple times a year usually.
>>222492567I never saw anyone say it was going to fail, I saw leftards gaslighting people by saying the right said it would fail so they can now "mock" the people who (didn't) say it. Even Nerdrotic and Drinker, the biggest Chudbait channels both said it would make a profit.

is twitter just a bunch of opposing extremists trying to outjerk each other nowadays?
It was fine. I liked the visuals, I understood the dream-like pacing, very similar to the actual book/play. The stuff people are angry about are either so incredibly minimal it doesn't impact the film at all or nonsense about historical accuracy which in the context of The Odyessy means nothing. Even the weird thing people had against some characters saying modern language when again it's said maybe once in the whole film. The Greeks themselves during the time of Homer depicted the characters of the play in armour not correct to the period, but they didn't care then and nobody should care now. I liked the sound and practical effects especially. It was fine. I genuinely feel that people only despise this film or even weirdly defend this film not because of the content of the film but because they just want to be angry or smug about something.
