Magneto is the most comically overpowered comic book character. Writers got a hard on for him and started evolving electro-magnetism powers into ultra physics altering bullshit. Half of metals exhibit little to no magnetic properties even with the strongest electromagnets, but somehow magneto can levitate gold and platinum and can use the iron in your blood to kill you. Such a fucking stupid character that only exists because Amerimutts don't pay attention in school and cannot grasp basic science. And also, he's the only guy on Earth who can touch Rogue for some reason. Comic book writers are a cancer.

Magneto doesn't control metal, that's a big misconception. He actually controls electro-magnetism itself, one of the 4 fundamental forces of the universe. In theory, this makes him basically a god who can manipulate the physical world in almost any way he sees fit, but the writers just stick to having him throw metal around and make a few force fields because him actually tapping into his true power would make him unstoppable
