Axanar certainly isn't "too good", it's a bunch of old people sitting around telling you how cool the authors OC is. It's a commercial product made on a fan license. Dude was warned, lost in court multiple times, ruined fan productions for everyone and still went ahead and made a commercial product after being exxplicitly told not to do that.
