Total purity of form. Sesame Street is high fucking vaudeville comedy via Edgar Bergen in collaboration with a publicly funded crack squadron of child educators, it is a masterwork. So much has been said about its genius but the Jim Henson operation is not just effective media it is in fact culture-creating. Simply put, peak Sesame Street is what we are trying to do.

there's something spacey about old British children's shows. Clangers, obviously, it's literally in space.but even something like The Magic Roundabout or The Herbs. there's always this 'echo-ey' quality to the production. puppets or models in some abstract setting/landscape.
