Zendaya as whoever the lead female character is.

Eliot Page as somebody-or-other.

Matthew McConaughey or Tom Cruise as the 20-something protagonist.

Jared Leto or Joaquin Phoenix or Christian Bale as the villain. Maybe James Franco.

Obviously I haven't read the book and don't even really know what genre it supposedly it, but neither will anybody in Hollywood who's actually tasked with adapting it, so what difference does it make?

Oh, I almost forgot, Idris Elba or Chiwetel Ejiofor or Michael B. Jordan or Don Cheadle as any character that is canonically white in the books.

And a black female actress as any canonically black male character in the books.
>>
And one below-average looking Asian actress as any canonically Asian female who is supposed to be elegant and gorgeous in the books.
