>>222497328What's to understand? The director needed to give the audience an excuse to hate the innocents Connor had to harm to escape by making them unlikable. If he'd been just a normal dude doing his job without the creepy stuff, the audience would have felt compassion for him, a wagey in a difficult low paid job, getting crippled by Sarah. The movie would need to get into 'sometimes innocents have to be harmed for the greater good'. It was easier to make him creepy so everyone would cheer him getting beaten, probably with a permanent injury, and not see Sarah in a bad light. Given what happens later with Dyson, it could have been a good demonstration of character growth, but Cameron couldn't handle her being disliked for that much of the movie.

That guy isn't meant to be seen as a creep or a pervert he isn't getting a sexual thrill out of licking her face- he's a cruel sadist getting a thrill out of forcing someone to endure something disgusting while being helpless to do anything about it. She's actually competent and strong and capable unlike in the first film where she genuinely was a helpless little bitch.
