>>222498960Wow you two managed to make it through the last thread in less than three days. Did one of you change your medication?
Welcome to the sacred ritual of the Kometa fishWe come to the table as strangers, but upon leaving, may we find ourselves as friends, not foes.
>>222499012Janeway didn't torture the detainee from the Equinox. She threatened to and that is when Chakotay checked her on it.But she probably would have if he hadn't stopped it.
is literally any modern star trek content good
>>222499087
>>222499057Threat of torture is already torture though. Chakotay intervened at the last possible moment, I'd say that requires at least an investigation.>>222499087Depends on what's enjoyable to you. I like SNW, PRO and SFA.
>>222498960>Star Trek is just a big international scam. https://youtu.be/u6p1LQ7upkk
>>222499134no way to prove it wasn't a bluff, most likely wouldn't even be disciplined
>>222499120It's odd. The old Frank is a miserable suicidal mess. I'll a.i. gen one that doesn't look like a total asshole.
>>222499012My favorite part was when they asked Janeway in "Equinox" how many times she broke prime directive, and she said "never".
>>222499251Did she give orders that would interfere in the natural evolution of a pre-warp species to her best knowledge?
>>222499433Bitch, there's coffee in that nebula.
>>222499087No
>>222499495Tough call. They did preliminary scans and didn't identify the lifeform as such. It is also questionable wether the prime directive would apply to a singular spaceborne organism.
Damn, eclipses are freaky
>>222499087That's a no for me, too.
Kinda weird that there's not a single eclipse plot in all of Trek
>>222499433When she reaches out for that monkey it makes me want to throw up.
>>222499087I enjoy 30-second long fan-rendered ship porn, if it countshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO4kvCc-99w
>>222498983star trek sex with wesley
>>222500759That's actually a huge no.
I just finished DS9 for the first time last night.I enjoyed the finale, but I'm disappointed with how things ended with the Dukat plot. I liked the buildup, but in the final episode itself it feels like an afterthought. Him and Kai Winn spend seemingly days in the caves doing little while the final battle of the dominion war goes on elsewhere, and after seeing the Dominion surrender and everyone hanging out at Vic's, it's like the episode said, "oh yeah, we got to finish things with Dukat." And even that was underwhelming. Was Sisko's conception by the Prophets really just to push a possessed Dukat in the fire?Other than that, loved the show and the ending.
>>222499087>is literally any modern star trek content goodDoes The Orville count?
>>222501009I never get this pic. What's the joke?
>Kim never closed rank with Tom even after he was demotedWhat exactly did Garret do to piss off the writers? It was always kind of strange seeing him doing the most important shit every other week, yet people not even in starfleet would pull rank on him.
>>222501807Came late all the time, brought constantly changing women on set, spent his weekends in vegas partying hard. But Kim also doesn't need promotions, he's in his Position because he wants to be. Tom Paris wants to prove to himself and his father that he can be Starfleet so it works as a better motivator for him.In the end, promotions don't mean much on Voyager.
many star trek fans agree, this is the single best episode in all of trekdom>directed by levar burton>has a captain geordi laforge cameo
Hottest Kim in any case
>>222501930is this the clone from the alternate voyager that blew up or is this the original kim and the kim in the past is a new copy of kim ? is the kim in the last season the original kim or fixed past kim 3?
>>222501807Kim's whole character is the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed Ensign. Sure, they could've promoted him to Lieutenant I guess but it's not like it's necessary.
>>222501968Kim The Infinite, Focus Of Entropy
I wonder how tricky it'd be if a ship was lost for do long that eventually everyone on the crew got promoted to the same rank
>>222502089that's what the equinox was. they still called ransom sir but everyone was equal by the time voyager found them
Kinda sad we didn't get a Neelix cameo during Kurtztrek. Maybe in Nexttrek
>>222501451I hate the Prophets and Pah-Wraiths in DS9. I think Star trek in general has handled godlike beings well. Some shit episodes here and there, but overall those episodes are entertaining. Not this shit in DS9 thoughEvery episode that involves the Prophets or Wraiths is shit. ESPECIALLY the Dragon Ball Z fight with Jake and that shit ending with Dukat
>>222502329I for one like The Reckoning
>>222501807>outranked by the Emergency Command Hologram
>>222502524said no one ever
>I brought down nigger men then you before, Picaaard!!What did she mean by this?
>>222502322Should've been a skull in evil Picard's room in Picard S2
>>222502524>>222502773Blue eyed Kira was hot.
>>222502773I just did, bb. It's okay, you don't have to cry.
>>222502840Yeah but obviously I don't believe you, you're just ragebaiting for attention.
>>222502870Me liking an episode is ragebaiting? Pull yourself together, retard. Some people
>>222502329>>222502524Are you The Keymaster?
>Commander, I am here to relieve you of command of your penis. Was this scene necessary?
>>222503036She was always a total bitch, TNG tried way too hard to force female authority figures. Those brain slugs should've gotten to her and killed her off.
>>222503036Hot
>>222503149>She was always a total bitchYeah ok>TNG tried way too hard to force female authority figuresOhhh Boy if u fell that way about TNG just you wait until you hear about...Everything past TNG[spoiler/]
Why does everyone complain about NuTrek cast members talking like millenials but no one minds the conversations on the Orville sounding like modern day office talk?
Just watched Voyage Home for the first time. So far this one's my favorite Trek film. It's like they took TMP, removed all the long beauty shots, and filled in the remaining hour with a light-hearted time travel 'sode.I've seen people say this feels the least like Star Trek, but I disagree. I'm going to guess that's the opinion of people who only watch TNG + the movies because, yeah, the Enterprise -D crew would probably never act this silly. But this feels about on par with TOS, DS9, and VOY's comedy eps. It's basically Trials and Tribble-ations but visiting the 80s instead of TOS era.The "world" of Star Trek is also starting to feel properly established by IV. I believe this is the first mention of no money in the future?
Watching episode 11001001. Riker is asshole in this season.>A blind man teaching an android how to paintIt doesn't help there is a Dr Epstein in this episode whilst he's in the Holodeck generating sexy women to chat up. Glad to know the me too movement and workplace equality isn't a thing in the future.
>>222503715Also the black guy looking in dismay as he pretends to play the trumpet...muh culture.
>>222503428I do mind it that's why I dont watch that fucking garbage
>>222503428Starfleet is the British navy minus colonialism (hence the prime directive).
>>222503348I already know.
>>222503428The bar for The Orville was on the ground so nobody really cared. Nobody saw it as a serious player in sci-fi.
>>222504000>Lets 10 million people die so he can save his wife.>They kill. her off next season. You get what you pay for with this shit.
>>222503149> TNG tried way too hard to force female authority figuresThat’s because TOS was often criticized for how it treated women. Do you know how bad you have to be to get called sexist in the flippin 60’s and 70’s?.
>>222502524This should have been in every episode with long expositionary speeches and flashback scenes like my chinese cartoons
>>222499012Would Pressman and the Pegasus incident belong on this chart?
>>222503941baseded
>>222501864>brought constantly changing womenGod damn shape shifters have invaded the Delta quadrant!
>>222503428orville always came across as HR meetings in space
>>222504332Is the dialogue written like HR is always in the room with the characters, ie Marvel Writing?
>>222501885Things I love about this episode:>That great reveal shot of Voyager in your pic>Seven's prosthetic eye making an appearance as a macguffin item>Any time someone says FUCK THE FEDERATION it's a good episode for me
>>222502171Ransom was based. I'd like to watch an Equinox series about all the hardships they went through up to that point.
>watching the masterpiece society>the shadow of Picard's nose in this shot makes it look like he has a little Hitler mustache lol
alright guys. I got beans and toast ( Vegan Dish ). watching VOY S4 E13: "Waking Moment's"The episode description makes me think this episode will be pure distilled kinography.
>>222504524>Any time someone says FUCK THE FEDERATION it's a good episode for meJust like Alex Kurtzman
>>222501885AAAaaah
>>222504971Is it beans and toast or beans on toast? Also found out that people butter there toast recently which to me is disgusting
>>222505296beans on toast. Busch's Vegetarian Beans.
>>222504971One of maybe only 2 good Chakotay 'sodes the other being >>222501885which is more of a Harry kino.
>>222504971Tell us what you think of the Hirogen in two episodes
can someone post the "how to watch star trek" screenshot please?
>>222504226>That’s because TOS was often criticized for how it treated women.Go on.
What are people's thoughts on the remastered effects in NG? I genuinely think a lot of the original effects shots looked better. I wish we had the choice on the blu ray to switch like the OS.
>>222505500She was getting r*ped in a death wish sequel before this. It's an upgrade for sure.
Just started watching Star Trek yesterday. Every episode so far has them fighting some kind of monster or imposter or psychic. When do they stop fighting space horrors and start getting into prime directive moral dilemma stuff like I’ve heard so much about?
>>222505510An absolute masterclass in tasteful restoration. With few exceptions, there was minimal poetic license exerted on the source material.
>>222505882the people restoring it are the same people who made it originally so yeah
>>222499087Lower Decks is great. *SOME* of SNW is acceptable but most of it is pretty fucking cringe. Like every episode of s4 so far has been so bad I couldn't even get through it in a single sitting.
>>222505882I think an ethereal quality is lost with the remasters especially when it comes to creatures or entities. They sometimes look like they are plastered onto the footage. I don't hate it mind you.
>Be star trek fan>HATE the original seriesAnyone else? I respect what it did, but overall its more bad then good. Theres like 1 good episode for ever 10 bad ones, it got cancelled after 3 seasons for a reason yall.
>>222506032>OLD GOOD NEW BAD pakled.jpg
>>222505770Just skip to TNG if that’s what you’re in for. TOS had some morality episodes but it was mostly a pulp western in space. Or you can skip ahead to Mirror Mirror or Patterns of Force in TOS S2.
>>222506169No one thinks this.
I lost the game
>episode about the rights of sentient robots and if slavery of computers is okay>it's actually about a middle manager woman>abusing her authority>and forcing men she was interested in to fight each other over killing a coworker, and if they don't she'll sign his death warrant with immediate effect>where she concludes "lol, lmao, souls are like whatever!" in her closing statement on the recordIt's amazing how compelling and thought provoking this is despite the dystopian future depicted. Why is it so hard for nuTrek to do the same? It has women in charge all over the place.
>>222505882Why is Jupiter melting in the remaster?
>>222506171Maybe. The remastered effects have more detail but I think the old effects have a atmosphere of there own.
>>222501451famously the writers hated dukat by the end. i think the whole kai winn thing was an embarrassment ritual for him, reminding this guy was pounding kira mom in her prime and most likely kira (off screen of course). and then he goes and sleeps with a frumpy old woman? no no no a thousand times no, i can say with certainty that in this moment, when he spread her legs, he infact did something wrong
>>222506319shipping those 2 together is actually a stroke of genius because they are actually right for each other.
>>222506183I don’t want to skip I just didn’t expect them to do 3 godlike psychic plots and 3 imposter plots in the span of 8 episodes. Though I guess one of those was half imposter half evil clone plot. The episodes aren’t bad at all though, except I wasn’t a fan of Mudd’s Women.
>>222506309sorry but you're absolutely retarded. the remastered looks exactly like a practical effect they would have made for the original show just higher resolution. if I didn't know any better I wouldn't be surprised if they just remade it the exact same way and filmed it again.
What did he say?
>>222506319I feel like the writers hated most of the setting by the end. I just assumed it was different writers.
>Have you ever used the holodeck to recreate a fantasy where Counselor Troi shoots chocolate milk out of her breast at you?
>>222506547shut up perv
>>222506580>Have you ever used the holodeck to generate a fantasy where you deliver a pizza to Counselor Troi and Dr. Crusher and they don't have the latinum to pay for it?
Sisko to Dukat:"Peppa..."
>>222501716Filename
>>222505530You self-censoring, brainwashed idiots are even more cringe than Janeway's monkey face. Why do you even use the word if you're not going to spell it out?
>>222506300A random gas giant gets sucked into a star in that episode.
>>222506943unalive you are self, c*nt
>>222507088A time when science advisors were also fans of the show
>>222507127The general public may only know Star Trek from meme technobabble like “Reverse the polarity of the isometric waves!” And don’t realize how much actual science goes into the writing.
>>222507319>And don’t realize how much actual science goes into the writing.Like that one time when Starfleet Academy mined the entire Federation territory in a day.
oh come now, mister woof. its not rape if im asking for it
Who else went to /trek60th/ in Vegas? It was my first trek convention and I had a blast! The Galaxy Quest reading with various actors like Terry Farrel, Nana Visitor, Tendi, Baltar, Master Shake was the best!
>>222498960Benkaran Lives Matter
>>222507689no, they dont.
>>222500511that's beautiful
>>222506485I hate Klinggers
>>222506547>>222506604Implying Riker needs the holodeck for stuff like that.
>>222507446>That time she forces Picard to LARP as her insanely jealous ex to get away from the Ferengi.
>>222502037kawaii
>>222507978What an absolute chad.
>>222506169Retard
>>222507978I guess you can’t be cancelled if you’re handsome and charming enough.
24th century gaming
>>222506300because it was in the original?
>>222508043>Ferengi.It was pretty wild watching all of TNG and then going into DS9, and watching he Ferengi go from being these vicious space pirates and slavers to these goofball Seinfeld jews. They got totally deconstructed to point that by the end of the show Ferengi women have the right to own businesses and wear cloths.Nothing is sacred.
>>222508290This is still what the majority of boomers think video games look like. And why they think adults playing them is disgusting.
>>222508223I could imagine that gif on an early 2000s Star Wars Galaxies Forum.
i have played all the trek games and i wish i could combine the space combat of trek online with across the unknown. i really dont understand why the trek property is so mismanaged.
>>222508361i honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm or not lol
riker is a slut
Doubly funny since the voice of Bobby Hill is in that episode.
which one of you faggots was this
>>222508423nah they knew
>>222508982What is it?
>>222508290Everytime you score you'll jizz, can your 21st century vr goggles provide this experience?

>>222509514Are you Nick Cannon?
>>222507978You, Marina and Jonathan were doing it off-screen?
hello /trek/ helloNacelle's Kirk disguised as a Romulan is up for preorder on BBTS.Somehow Beast Kingdom also has the Trek license but Beast Kingdom is straight trash and only makes retardedly ugly figures that look like dried fruit in doll clothes at a stupid scale incompatible with anything else and their $80 price point is fucking absurd for the tasteless hoarder shit they are.So far they've shit out a Picard and a Spock but they only do like one or two iconic characters and abandon a line, so it's literally the Playmates fiasco all over again where they release a Picard and a Spock, then some nutrek garbage, then the whole experiment is shoveled to rot in a landfill and never spoke about again. Even if they made a Ro Laren it'd be fucking horrifying and just get added to my 'God hates me' collage. Fuck Beast Kingdom and their wrinkly shitty ass dolls.Anyway, the estimated shipping date for Wave 2 of Nacelle's line is October through December. Sailor Worf, Sailor Geordi, and T'Pol are my biggest hyped figures.2027 is gonna go hard with the TOS bridge pieces and two more waves, plus the single characters released between waves.
>>222509633Hardly.My whole life I've never had to approach women, or even girls when I was a kid. They always approached me. So I still don't know if I should consider myself a winner or not.
>>222509332Everything is too close. They're going for the No Man's Sky aesthetic
>>222509332idk going kinda red giant maybe the planets dont make sense though
>>222506027>Lower Decks is great.forgot to mention im trans btw
lower decks is not terrible but it is also not trek
>>222501679>dacorvelkys, faggot
>>222503949Just imagine if the British and later the Americans practiced the Prime Directive when interacting with non-gunpowder and non-naval civilizations. We'd be living in a White utopia right now. Well, I would, idk what race everyone else is in here.
Damn, why did they have to deform and cripple Captain Pike after replacing him as the main character? Did they just fucking hate that actor or something?
>>222510309>Did they just fucking hate that actori mean, kind of. he was a fine actor he was just not going to work in they type of show they wanted to make.
>>222499012>Sisko's perfidyBenny is a YUGE Ferenginar supporter, they're the federation's greatest ally.
>>222504226>>222505500Everything wrong with Star Trek can be traced directly to Genk Fraudegenbury. The best parts of Trek were done and added by everyone else.
>>222510453incorrect, he was a drunken asshole by the 80s though
