DC is beyond unsalvageable from terrible management since the Nolan era. Products flip between good and bad, after what it was possibly a good recovery from what it once was. Coupled with a fickle and unstable fanbase, he was just another lamb to the slaughterhouse. Although, he not compromising to do a full reboot and picking past pitches for his universe was going to hit him back at some point, not to add the looming blade of the merger stopping any project to enter production.
