silo is comfy

Season 1 is good. Season 2 is alright. Season 3 is fucking retarded. They clearly don't know what to do anymore; Season 3 is a soft reset season full of filler garbage.

i've only seen the premiere of s3 so far. isn't it a book or something? how do they not know what to do

First two episodes of the series were good. Then the story begins to repeat e1 and e2 endlessly but in slow motion. In s2 it becomes so slow that it becomes unwatchable. The metaplot should have advanced (ie explain to viewers what happened outside the silos, explain what happened in the other silos and world at large). The lore of the setting is not explored, so the series is just useless garbage now.

>isn't it a book or something?
I had no idea it was a book. The book must get pretty bad as well then. I'll keep watching it out of curiosity if they turn it around but I am not really happy with how it's turning out.
>>
>>222500147
>i remember...everything
Glad all the characters can finally catch up to the audience

>The lore of the setting is not explored, so the series is just useless garbage now.
They are just now exploring it in the slowest manner possible in Season 3. It's really frustrating.
>>
>>222500631
Don't you love half a season of farting about absolutely nothing?
>>
>>222500690
Nothing says compelling storytelling like flashbacks and laborious retreads

I think ferguson is extremely fuckable

Is the anon from last week here? I told you the Hardwood's were behind Orla Kent's death, that was obvious

she is fuckable, but what the fuck accent is she supposed to have in this show? it's a total mess from line to line. where is she from anyway?
>>
great actress
terrible series

why would an AI kill everyone inside a silo to stop them from escaping?
why stop the inhabitants from knowing what exists outside the silo? if they knew what was out there, then they would not try to escape.

why arent the silos connected by a secret underground metro at the bottom levels?

the mayor character and the black antagonist do not scare me. they remind me of incompetent middle management. when do the real scumbags appear?

>why would an AI kill everyone inside a silo to stop them from escaping?
So they can't tell everyone about their obviously illegal experiments?
>why stop the inhabitants from knowing what exists outside the silo?
because then they would want to leave
>if they knew what was out there, then they would not try to escape.
they would want to leave if they knew there was people living normal lives outside

I could be wrong. I never read the book but I'm assuming this is some vault-tec type experimenting. I'm going to assume this is like a fairly localized nuclear event that happened and they built the silos there so people from outside the silo stay the fuck out of the area. Not sure; feel free to correct me.

>>222502204
Why are you responding to something you clearly know nothing about?

>Not sure; feel free to correct me.
Ignore the response if it upsets you or you could correct my unfounded theory.
>>
>>222502204
the problem is that the metaplot of the books is just plain silly
why would anyone create such a complex experiment to begin with? it sounds like a comic book villain's plot.
the tv series cannot really explain the plot because doing so will just make the audience cringe. therefore the truth will need to be rewritten by the screen writers and basically fuck over the original writer's silly nonsense,
because
the point of the Silos was to fundamentally change the nature of human society so that by the time nanos were re-discovered, the impetus behind their original use would no longer exist. The Silos were fermenters, if you like, meant to hold people until they could be as sure as possible that the requisite shift had been achieved. I

You think it's another mystery show the writers are making up as they go along and your time would be better spend watching a series with a beginning, middle and an end.
>>
>>222502306
It's a gray goo global cataclysm. The outside world is uninhabitable.
>>
>>222502405
That's pretty uninteresting and entirely unbelievable. I didn't realize it was nano bullshit technology but I guess I should have guessed that when she drove the plane right into it.

>>222502310
I'll keep watching. Not sure how I even feel about this show anymore to be honest. There's some interesting concepts here to work with so maybe they'll change things.
>>
>>222499991
you think it might be kino but make it halfway into the season season before you realize its mystery box shit.
even more egregious is its based on novels with a known end. it will probably try to subvert the novels.

nanomachines are honestly such a gay and overdone trope, its going to be real anticlimatic when someone actually invents nanotechnology.

yes it is pretty bad

they could still save it by making the whole science fiction apocalypse thing fake and then smake the silos just be forced mining labor for a corporation, slavery inc.
>>
>>222502313
Except it's based on a book series, mongoloid

>>
>>222499991
every season is the same shit with the first 2 episodes being decent, 6 episodes of dogshit, last 2 ok episodes and a cliffhanger finale

its alright but frustrating to watch as a weekly release

season 1 was great, season 2 kinda lost you, season 3 started weak but is getting more interesting. you think its amusing the books didn't have an evil ai but the show does.

If I have to listen to Tim Robbins doing his raspy, strained voice again I'm going to lose it.

Most women could do with such advice which is why it's good to inform as many of them as possible.

Name me 6 (six) nanomachine stories
