wtf i like jean grey now
>>
>>222503720
ofc she just likes doing a little trolling from time to time killing some "innocent" randumbs along the way is part of the fun
>>
>>222503769
Government agents aren't innocent.
>>
>>222503720
Not even Jean originally.

>The bigger surprise in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is Jean Grey's inclusion, of course, and McKenna told the trade that, while mind control was part of the story from the start, they "didn't have the right character for that story."
>"Now we can tell a story that with a really great character that can mirror Peter’s in a really great way and we can get to a place," he said. "Because obviously she’s such an important character in the MCU. We will have even more leeway to humanise this character and redeem her by the end."
>The decision to put the spotlight on a Marvel "villain" rather than a Spider-Man one certainly didn't hurt Brand New Day, and for McKenna, it was all about cementing Spidey's place in the wider MCU. "We really needed the right character playing that role," McKenna noted. "We were exploring other characters, and it just wasn’t... It was Jean really helped unlock it. She was the missing piece."

Unironically, what did he do wrong?
>>
>>222504377
he introduced the concept of the multiverse to the MCU
>>
>>222504401
A sin punishable by death
>>
>>222504401
Not really, The Ancient One confirms its existence when teaching Strange. The weird part is that in-universe I don't recall anybody actually theorizing the Multiverse up to that point, not even Hank Pym, but then randomly Mysterio and his goon squad use it as a backstory and everybody's just cool with it. I don't even think Feige remembers it being referenced in Far From Home, because the Multiverse is just now becoming known to the "ground" level heroes and general public. They teased it at the end of Brave New World like it was some major revelation lmao.
>>
>>222503720
MCU from now on and forever will be just movies about Spider Man and the X Men.
>>
>>222504668
Good, thank fucking god. Fuck all that other gay shit, Spider-Man and X-Men are the properties I actually care about.
>>
>>222503826
Random construction workers aren't government agents most of the time

Not to mention all the random civilians who inevitably died because a tank was shooting off 50-cal rounds into random buildings in downtown NYC

Don't forget that she goes out way out of her way to intentionally inflict as much emotional damage to Peter as possible
Don't forget that she is shown taking extreme pleasure from the suffering she's causing
Don't forget that she goes out of her way to maximise casualties, like firing 50-cal machine guns into random buildings and leaving a fucking bomb in the tank set to explode mere seconds after it rams the building (that potentially allows extremely dangerous people to escape)
Don't forget that if she really wanted to find Sara, she could have done it easily by just mind-hopping through the department of damage control (if she possess the receptionist, from there it'd be trivially easy to go "ok I now know who the boss is I just need to find him in this building" which would again be trivially easy

Jean Grey in this movie is one of the most evil people in the MCU, and they act like she's some sort of misunderstood hero

Even Kilgrave wasn't as evil as Jean
>>
>>222504749
>NYC
Good. Fuck that rat town.
>>
>>222503964
So it really was going to be spider queen at first and then they realized that wasn't going to be nearly as cool because she's z list at best
>>
>>222505270
It was a terrible thing right up until he got Shrapnel to the heart in the middle of the desert
>>
>>222505637
>>222503964
Why did they go with Jean Grey of all people?
Emma Frost or even Psylocke would've made more sense as an anti-villain

Jean Grey, even before meeting Charles, would have never been so sadistic as we see in this movie
>>
>>222505515
Do girls really coom?
>>
>>222505716
all women are evil. The modern empowered Jean Grey is especially evil
>>
>>222505539
>she goes out way out of her way to intentionally inflict as much emotional damage to Peter as possible
How exactly was she gonna do otherwise? He keeps getting in the way and she can't control him.

>she could have done it easily by just mind-hopping through the department of damage control
She did. She was going through DC's other bases, she fucking mind raped 30 people Yelena says. It's likely that Metzger and the main HQ is protected somehow. She needed the fucking Hulk to get to it ffs.
>>
>>222505716
It's time to accept that modern audiences are more familiar with Jean being a piece of shit than any other iteration
>>
>>222505850
It's literally shown in the movie that when she finally gets to him and is going to do her thing Peter just shows up and puts the chip on her, and at the start of the third act he specifically makes it clear he's fully aware of her jumping range. People are looking for plot holes where there's none
>>
>>222505850
>She did. She was going through DC's other bases, she fucking mind raped 30 people Yelena says.
Wow, and it took her that many people before she figured out "hey I should try doing it at the actual headquarters"?
>It's likely that Metzger and the main HQ is protected somehow.
They probably should have mentioned that in the movie then. It's also obviously untrue since they explicitly have no way to protect themselves from Jean other than staying more than 33 feet away before the inhibitor exists (otherwise the torture room would have some sort of protection beyond just being a wide room)
>She needed the fucking Hulk to get to it ffs.
That's kind of the point - she didn't need the fucking Hulk. She didn't need to do ANYTHING other than possess someone, go to the damage control headquarters, and mind-hop through it.

Jean is retarded, and so are you.

>Wow, and it took her that many people before she figured out
She was probably trying to avoid it as much as possible because she was unprepared and thought it's too dangerous /or had not developed her powers that much yet before she got to that point in the plan and probably tried avoiding it hoping the information would be in any of the other places
>They probably should have mentioned that in the movie then.
When Spiderman goes inside the building they have ridiculous amounts of security and a scanner and all of the guards were very clearly position far away from the entrance, likely for that exact reason
>>
>>222505235
He did have a reason. Peter was being an annoying brat asking for the glasses back even though he gave them up willingly and then decided to ruin Mysterio's fun he wasn't hurting anybody he just wanted credibility and fame.

I wonder why FFH was the last film in Phase 3 rather than the first film in Phase 4. I suspect Mysterio was originally actually from another universe and his mention of the multiverse was not a fake-out, but then things were changed to the way they were for some reason.
>>
>>222508140
The whole point is to fake out the audience. An AU heroic mysterio being used to introduce the multiverse is just plausible enough to make you forget that his whole deal is illusions and trickery.

Spider-Man is been friends with multiple members of the X-Men and gets along most of them, for example Wolverine, Nate Grey and Nightcrawler are basically good friends with him even Nightcrawler used the Spider-Man identity at some point. Also in some universes like Ultimate (2000), Peter has dated some members like Kitty Pryde, the only members i know that hate Spider-Man are Storm and Magik.
