>>222504393The issue is when Gunn took over they had a Batman movie that was successful financially and well liked by critics and audiences (The Batman) that they could have built off of but it didn't fit in with Gunn's vision so he instead decided to launch his universe off his own creation(s) Peacemaker season 2 (which was connected to a now dead DCU) and Creature Commandos (also a spin-off of that dead DCU). But then Superman came out and just did ok and Supergirl flopped and now every project it seems is being cancelled or stuck in development.

People are tired of the same fucking Superman/Batman movie every few years. They ALWAYS have to do a fucking origin story that takes up half the runtime like even the most normie of fucking normies doesn't already know them five times over.
