this sucked
>>
Yes.
Sorry you won't get many responses for being right.
>>
>>222507844
I was just watching this, lol
>>
It was definitely less memorable than the first, and no longer had the novelty.
>>
watching it as a kid in eastern europe was hilarious
>>
>>222507844
I rewatched it last week for the first time since i saw it in a theater on release.
Jesus christ it's bad...
>>
>>222507844
>>222508086
*Wait, sorry that's the sequel.
I thought it was the first one, but i bet the sequel is just as bad if not worse.
>>
>>222507844
I like it a lot more than the first
>>
>>222507844
as a child it was hilarious. i genuinely don’t care how it is as an adult. it served its purpose in my life.

this and the rhyno assbirth made me shit myself laughing
>>
>>222507844
I remember laughing so hard at the scene where he comes out of the butt of the rhinoceros that I couldn't breathe like George Floyd. It was the first time I'd ever laughed at anything so hard. I have higher standards now, but it's still pretty funny.
>>
It really felt like they just said "Jim, do your Jim stuff in the sequel" and he took it and ran with it.
The first is a lot more measured and tame, relative to the second. That said, it is still a double feature for me, because what the fuck else am i going to do?
>>
>>222507844
They could have made a third one of those Ace Ventura movies, as long as it was maybe some time before the mid-2000s, and it would have done extremely well. Whether or not it would have worked as a film is another story.
>>
>>222508515
The first movie was a little more grounded in reality, yeah. The second one went almost completely all in on Jim Carrey's comic antics that were typical of the time.
>>
>>222508138
Same. I haven't seen it since then, I'll preserve the good memory.
>>
>>222507844
True. It was quite terrible compared to the first.
That's because Steve Odekirk is a fucking retard.
>>
>>222508732
>The first movie was a little more grounded in reality
>Finkle's plan
>Talks with his ass
>Tutu
>>
Criminally underrated
>>
>>222508138
>>222508744
I haven't seen anything Ace Ventura in full length, cartoon included, since I was a kid, but I revisited a few minutes of the cartoon, and Jim Carrey did not voice the animated series.
>>
Ace Ventura 2 is a perfect film and I'll stand by that.
>>
>>222507896
This used to be more common when people had cable and everyone watched the same things at the same time
>>
>>222508769
OK, very little bit more than the second.
>>
>>222507844
Most Jim Carrey movies are terrible and the fact there were adults at the time that liked them just shows how much better we will be when all the boomers die.
>>
>>222508778
that i havent once in my too many years heard of this probably aint a good sign
>>
>>222508839
Jim Carrey's general style of comedy absolutely peaked during the mid-to-late 1990s, though. He wasn't only around at the right time for it, he defined it.
>>
>>222507844
>SHIKAKA!
>>
>>222507844
>>222508654
Jim Carrey turned a third film down because he thought those movies were played out after the second.
>>
>>222508947
That's fine. The only possible way to top the 2nd would be to do something absurd like Ace Ventura: In Space.
>>
>>222507844
>I can’t help but notice you referred to me as White Devil.
>Its how they know you!
It’s a great comedy
>>
>>222507844
It was Christian
>>
>>222509056
Space animals, that might work.
>>
>>222508138
this. i dont understand what kind of person sits down with their turtleneck and furrowed brow watching this in a hyper-analytical state. its funny and retarded and thats all it has to be
>>
i find monkeys incredibly irritating and unpleasant.
>>
>>222508778
literally never heard of this in all my 32 years of living
>>
>>222508791
What taste you must have.
>>
>>222509114
That's because it's older than you are, sprout.
>>
>>222509172
You're not very good at math.
>>
>>222508316
>couldn't breathe like George Floyd.
>have higher standards now

I highly doubt that
>>
>>222508872
>>222509114
Same guy who did My Cousin Vinny, same kinda feel.
>>
>>222508769
Talking with your ass and making fun of trannies is a lot more grounded than being shit out of a rhino
>>
As a child the gorilla rape scene upset me
>>
>>222508174
>BUMBLEBETUNA
did zoomers ever get this pure kino?
>>
>>222509554
I didn't understand bumblebee tuna until last year and I'm 35.
>>
>>222509172
try again. counting with your fingers very slowly helps, anon.
>>
>>222509554
theres not much to "get" but sure we do
t. 1997 zoomGOD
>>
Both movies along with kung fu hustle are contenders for the best comedies of all time.
Arsenic and old lace was also extremely good.
>>
>>222507844
I loved it when it came out. I was 9.
>>
>>222507844
WRONG AGAIN SWEENEY TOAD
>>
>>222507844
It had it's moments
