My boss was a dog show person and she says the movie is an extremely tame portrayal of the kind of psychos you find at dog shows. She described to me an event once where a Lhasa Apso was sabotaged before the show in a Nancy Kerrigan style drive-by attack with a pair of scissors to cut a giant lock of hair off the dog so it couldn't compete.
