I just saw it The Dad gets killed like 40 minutes before the end, the rest of the family and a neighbor girl manage to find a portal back to the present and realize they're back around 15 minutes before the neighborhood went back to the past. The mom orders a pizza to where they are to save the dad from going to the past and dying (he's a part time delivery driver). Then there's tacked on ending that feels like it was put in after test screenings where they explain that the mom also called a bunch of their neighbors and got them to evacuate (even though she said in the previous scene that no one would believe them if they did that).

If it finished when they saved the dad it would have been a good note to end on, in the last scene you see the neighbors on TV saying that they were warned to leave in a way that reeks of reshoots, and the daughter looks different like it was shot way later. it definitely feels like it was cut down a lot as well, and the original cut probably had more domestic drama.
