As a kid it always bothered me that they would constantly reference 70s-90s pop culture in a show set 1000 years from now. They didn't even handwave it by saying late 20th century pop culture was trendy or something like that. It would be like if people now knew and cared about Elizabethan-era stage actors and chamber musicians.
