It was bad basically from the 2nd season onward. I'm reading the book right now, and based on my hazy memory of the show. I'm guessing the show gets shit as soon as it starts taking too many liberties from the book. And I don't tend to be an adaptation stickler. But my impression is, I don't remember the little seeds of mystery the books plants, feeling this fast paced and engaging in the show. But I also can't imagine me thinking the show bad, if it followed the book. So either the first book ends poorly, and the 2nd book ends up shit. Or the show did something to fuck with the sense of mystery and unraveling of things. I remember disliking Naomi a lot, and I also remember vaguely disliking the politics. So I'm guessing those are the only two points im currently aware of where things could go wrong, both in the book, and the show.

Nah, S5 when Amazon took over is when it went lame and they focused on Niomi too much
