Stargate Universe had so much potential. I think one of the proposed storylines would've had us discovering that the Furlings were wiped out by the Goa'uld who eventually stole their tech and wore their bones as armor.
Finished Universe today. Purest sci-fi series I ever watched, at least by the end. As it should be, exploring into the unknown, everything can go wrong, barely making it through with all the effort that you can make with smart people. Discovering things that you don't understand and don't necessarily get explained later. Some of the oldest sci-fi concepts are in there. Drama may have been over the top in the beginning but it was realistic later on and by the end I cared about the characters in a way that I didn't with any other series.

Maybe the goa'uld tech they are using was originally made by the Furlings? Many unanswered questions.
