star wars without the jedi and the force is not star wars

without the spiritual part, star wars is just yet another sci-fi franchise with lasers, aliens and space travel

this is the main reason why disney wars feels so soulless; the creators there do not know what to do with the jedi/the force so they usually ignore it

every iteration now, be it film or show, is just a surface level understanding of the franchise; it takes the space western "used future" aesthetic but doesn't penetrate any deeper into the mythos
