Who should direct The Silmarillion?
Del Taco, Hackson or someone else?

Villeneuve or Nolan, or maybe J.J. for his comeback.

What bait? That's what the LotR cinematic audience deserves.

While they had some serious flaws not connected to trying to adapt the material to a film format, the Hackson films were still one of the best things the Hollywood machine could churn out post 1959

>not connected to trying to adapt the material to a film format,
All the character assassinations absolutely had something to do with adapting it to a movie. They're terrible adaptations and the people that liked them would hate the silmarillion.

Yes, that's a flaw, I agree. You can argue they didn't have the runtime to flesh out Denethor but assassinating Gimli, Faramir, Meriadoc and Peregrin (to some extend), Frodo a bit and prob. some others. By what I mean is that those issues weren't related as they could have made them their original selves.
