Kingpin is a raunchy comedy about bowling, and it looks like a Terrence Malick movie
I remember seeing it at the movie theater back in the day, and we took this kind of thing for granted. If you saw a movie, they did they job and shot it well regardless of genre.
If you made a movie that looked like Kingpin today, they wouldn't even nominate any other movies for Best Cinematography.
