>What if zog propaganda...
>...but chink
Somehow even worse. Bloated as fuck and way less subtle than most zog war movies, and that's certainly hard to achieve. Now the ending of the second film was fucking laughable
>The chinks, with heavy casualties, manage to blow up the bridge
>The americans just airlift a couple of metal plates and fix it in a few minutes lol

should have let MacArthur nuke the bastards desu

I get that America sucks right now and people are eager to stick it to them but anyone who pretends the Chinese film industry is decent is coping so hard they should be put in a mental hospital. Every Chinese movie is either lazy propaganda or a reskin of the 2010s Transformers movies. I know you fags are all too young to remember it but in the past, the terrible things that have become normal today, making lazy cheap cgi bullshit in a warehouse that's just nothing but explosions, rapid cuts, quips, and cameos, all of that was done to appeal to China in a decade long obsession with capturing Chinese markets. They got so used to it they forgot how to do basic shit like lighting, cinematography, and sound mixing, since Chinks just want bright flashy lights and loud noises so they don't care about any of that. Chinese taste is so bad it did major damage to the western film industry as well.

The 2021 one had one good scene, that with the close quarters fight in the shack.
And a lot of hilariously bad scenes
>holy Mao
>hungry, comrade? Here, have some more
>that tank battle
>heroic chinks, heroically frozen to death

>The Americans may put tons of effort into training, equipping, feeding, and supporting their troops so they can stay alive and come home again, but we value our own lives so little we're willing to throw so many starving, half frozen illiterate retards at them that they'll be literally buried in bodies!(which didnt actually work, we failed to accomplish our war goals and the Americans accomplished theirs, but we're gonna count this as a victory because we didn't get assraped as hard as we potentially could have been)
>Chinks genuinely see this as heroic
>>222527820
Westerners don't understand just how tasteless Chinese audiences really are. If the MCU was made in China with Chinese actors it'd be their greatest national pride, they'd mention it every 5 minutes and refuse to leave their apartments without some sort of MCU merch on

Red Cliff is the only good chink movie in existence.
And it's good only because it was international production and not a chink - only one.

Pretty much every good Chinese movie was either made in Hong Kong or by Hong Kongers and other foreigners

>First film starts with protagonist coming home, to bring the ashes of his dead brother to his parents
>Second film starts with protagonist's other brother coming home, to bring the ashes of dead protagonist to his parents
This is supposed to be heroic

And this is supposed to be heroic too

>zog
stop using ridiculous, meaningless buzzwords
Also, did you think the country known for its one party authoritarian control and brutal suppression of any media that doesn't follow a strict narrative, would somehow approach the subject with nuance, critical thinking and reason?

I had major problems with recognizing characters in the movie. For the most time I had no idea if it's the same guy doing something or another one, completely unrelated.
THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME TO ME

I expected a serious, entertaining war film. The russians did tons of propaganda war films, and many of them are decent to great. For example, They Fought For Their Country is 50 years old and mogs The Battle at Lake Changjin hard
>>
>>222527820
Correct. People who casually throw around the word "propaganda" should be made to see Chinese, Indian, or Turkish war movies. It's night and day.
I almost added Russian to that list but occasionally, they're capable of making a decent war movie that isn't entirely propaganda.

>I almost added Russian to that list but occasionally, they're capable of making a decent war movie that isn't entirely propaganda.
The least propagandist movie in Russian WW2 cinematography is twisted beyond comprehension anyway:
>We won the war
>The leadership is always competent
>T-34 is the bestest tank ever
>Nobody is hungry
>Lend- lease? What is that? Don't listen to imperialist propaganda
>>
>propaganda, china
>>

The Battle of Port Arthur (1980) also mogs The Battle at Lake Changjin
