Alien was a fantastic horror film. Aliens was a fantastic scifi/action film. Alien3 was still decent. After that it's all a dumpster fire.

Even if you liked Alien 3 it's very hard to say that it elevated the franchise or was a success on the level of the first two. Alien 4 was fun to watch and cool looking but also retardedThat was when the trend was established.I still didn't expect Prometheus to be 100% retarded but it was, and then I didn't expect them to keep building on this foundation of shit but they did.

Alien 3 was shit but coherent and I accept it as part of the 1-2-3 canon. Resurrection is absurd and I pretend it never existed. Prometheus is good and canon. Covenant is a mess trying to be an alien movie and butchering Prometheus' plot off screen, but I consider it canon. Romulus is garbage and non canon. Alien earth is garbage and not canon. Anything "vs predator" is not canon definition (and shit unfortunately).
