Harry Potter's biggest villain is... some bald guy with no nose?
JK Rowling is a SHIT writer

Can't wait to see how they do a thirst snake with no nose

dude is literally the biggest threat of the world

I was watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. When Voldemort appeared and said "deh!", I kinda laughed 'cause it's such a /tv/ meme. But I also got goosebumps 'cause it was genuinely frightening.

Why? I think there's some really clever stuff in those books. People usually call her a bad writer because she doesn't explain certain loose ends or detail how the magic works. But those same people will complain when a book gives too much exposition or over explains things that have zero impact on the story.
>>
These books have surprisingly intricate lore. If you question what's that background character's motive, that bitch JK Rowling got it all covered.
I respect that. People think having extended backstories doesn't matter, but I like when the characters have strong beliefs and motives

tolkienfags did irreparable damage to the fantasy genre. Everything needs to have insane levels of meaningless worldbuilding or it's trash

Furthermore, I was watching an interview with the exorcist director and he was complaining about actors who want to understand "whh would my character walk from the door? Why not the window?" Yeah, I understand his frustrations, but when a character has lore is more interesting. Won't you agree?
Its fun to think "Jack Sparrow wouldn't do that"
>>
>>222532670
Oh no, J.K. Rowling actually didn't write him not having a nose, that's original to the movies.

>Loose against a newborn
>Loose against a 11 years old boy who knew magic for like 8 months
>Loose against a 12 years old boy despite having a 30m long pet snake
>Loose against a 14 years old boy despite having a body again
>Loose against a 18 years old boy who was homeless for the last 10 months
He was the ultimate jobber

The original concept was deemed too scary. Because why would you want your villian to scare the audience?
>>
>>222534800
Yeah children
not you 40 year old theater (former)kids
>>
>>222534800
Honestly, it is too over the top. Like, that's a Resident Evil enemy, not Lord Voldemort.
>>
>>222532670
>>222534800
Lord Voldemort is described after his rebirth as having a chalk-white, skull-like face, glowing scarlet-red eyes with cat-like vertical slits for pupils, snake-like nostril slits, no hair, no lips, a skeletally thin body, and unnaturally long fingers

What motivates Anthony Goldstein of Ravenclaw?
>>
>>222534648
harry was the one thing in the entire hp world that could kill voldemort. Voldemort defeated everyone else
>>
>>222535086
Motivates him to do what? He's a background character.
