Like you could argue that the main characters are full of shitheads and sinners and could of acted faster, but honestly they're just victims of a dark force they had no control over; especially with the consequence of the ending. The parent and kids are still mind broken slaves without a master, so killing the witch just prevented more victims but not saved the ones that were too late.Review-wise it was a good movie, but the climax was just a "fuck it" rush on the plot.

The entertainment I find is how each character leads to the climax from their perspective, and all of them are flawed as fuck which makes it interesting. Also the antagonist was meant to be vile and hated which is nice. It's a children's tale without the white knight.

Didn't this movie literally have a dream sequence where a giant fucking AR-15 was floating in the sky and casting an ominous shadow over everything? Regardless of how little sense it ultimately made or how poorly was ultimately communicated by the movie's creators, I think that makes it pretty unequivocally clear that the moral was at least INTENDED to be some typical wokescolding about how "guns are bad" and we need to burn the Constitution/Bill of Rights in order to make leftists feel better.
It doesn’t make sense that Brolin recovered his consciousness as if nothing ever happened and I don’t care about the “he wasn’t under the spell long enough bullshit”. The point of the story should’ve been that the jewish witch fades away and totally obliterates people’s consciousness with her spells and turns them into golems with trapped souls (not minds/consciousness) the kid finds a way to turn the golems against her but everyone, including Brolin, who fell under the spell are vegetables forever, mindless golems. Horror films need to go back to hopeless endings.

The best way to enjoy the film is to imagine which Whitest Kid would have played each character during each scene. (Timmy would have played *all* the kids, naturally).
