That's a stretch. You have to go overly broad to interpret Inception that way.
They both are about a man separated from his family and wanting to go home, but that's where the similarities end.

inception also starts in media res with a man being rescued from the sea and telling his story to the man who can get him home

they go through different environments filled with hostiles

he goes to an underworld of sorts (limbo)

the man's journey is helped by a feminine figure associated with wisdom/intelligence

before he set upon his journey he was in a state where he (mentally) years before returning

at one point he deceives his own men about the dangers they're facing so they don't chicken out fo the mission
