>>222557419nah, the academy doesn't care for speilbergian films at all. if they weren't his they'd get nothing.
>>222557706This is what happens when you think Peter Jackson only made LOTR movies. He isn't about muh le epic movie for nerds. In reality he is similar to Zemekis (whom he worked with on the motion capture stuff) and Cameron with being obsessed over technology over basically anything else. It's all about "what kind of stylized shit I can do with this". Hobbit was a testament to that, he clearly was thinking "how donI make this as cartoonish as possible with the new technology". Even when he moved into documentaries, it's all about the new techniques of footage restoration, new techniques of footage recoloration and such. And early in his career he was all about "how do K squeeze everything possible special effects wise from a shoestring budget". That's how we got practical effects galore in Bad Taste, Feebles, Dead Alive.
>>222557365>>222557604Spielberg is ten times more talented a filmmaker than Nolan. Why was this cartoon so weirdly dismissive of the former and glowing toward the latter?
>>222558195nothing is dismissive and both are self-describing as pictured. of course nolan has his head up his own ass and spielberg is playing humble.
