The movie also desperately needed to be punched up by actual comedians. They should have hired morgan murphey to actually make it funny. The only funny joke of the movie was "but I don't even want to learn how to surf"

>>222589855He is way more focused on special effects than writing. Really should have hired like 3 good comedy writers. Morgan Murphey, Jorma Taccone, John Solomon. All of them would have been able to actually make the movie funny. If the nerd is supposed to be the straight man then urkle should have been some Mike as a conspiracy screwball. They couldn't even handle basic comedy conventions. The movie failed due to terrible writing.
