>>222617310The only real issue messing with execution of concept here is the script having needed a couple more drafts, although I'd agree the concept itself wasn't great putting the most interesting bits in the background and focusing on a 7 Samurai style redemption story instead. I've said it a million times: It should've gone balls to the wall like Metabarons.

You can pull A LOT even with relatively cheap CGI if you're doing it right. The Japanese are great at that kinda thing (think Casshern or Goemon or Garm Wars).
