Resident Evil: Extinction was the natural evolution of the franchise, and was always the plan, although it was meant to be the final film in the franchise. The screenplay for the first movie features conversations about how the outbreak will spread globally within several months if the Hive is breached, and the White Queen turns up to confirm it

These movies were never good and only became vanity projects because the retard managed to get a hit with Mortal Kombat and was hard carried by the editor, cinematographer, casting

They were fun bad movies when they were made. Now they're kino because time passed and movies got worse. The same happens with rap. A shitty rap from 20 years ago is amazing compared to modern rap.
Just like the worst RE movie back then will still mog the turd that Cregger shits out of his reptile faggot ass.

Yeah but that's literally the wife of the director.

W.S. is really the proto version of Zack Snyder. He crawled so that Snyder could plummet directly to a wall with Rebel Moon.

300 literally has shots copied from Soldier in it. Snyder has always been a less talented version of Anderson, who was in turn a less talented version of Mulcahy.

>They were fun bad movies when they were made.
Were they, though? Or were they just singular in their vision like say, the Star Wars Prequels. I've never really found a convincing argument for what is supposed to be wrong with these films aside from running out of steam and starting to spin their wheels. Paul Anderson has never cared about conventional notions of filmmaking. He doesn't care about things like dialogue or characters or the plot. He cares about images. In an interview he once said that he never bothered leaning how to direct actors to deliver lines because it doesn't interest him. The purpose of an actor is to look cool and not say much. He has described his central fascination with movies being the realization that "cinema is artifice" thus there is no point attempting to convey authentic emotions.
