Well?
many years ago I was shitfaced drunk and decided to walk to my local jack in the box which was only 1 block away from my house and ordered some food which included bacon cheese wedges, and on the way back I stumbled and drop my bag of food, and the only thing that spilled out were my wedges. I examined the food, and some of it was in direct contact with the concrete sidewalk. in my drunken stupor I found it acceptable to pick up the wedges, brush off any debris that I could see with my naked eye at 11pm at night, and proceeded to eat the wedges that spilled out from their container. it was not a proud moment, and even though I didn't feel bad about eating them in the moment, I reflected upon that decision the next day and I felt disgust with myself. in regard to the OP, under those controlled circumstances, knowing that the house looked to be in pretty good condition, knowing the eclair was still nestled in its paper thingy, separated by a discarded magazine, and unspoiled by making direct contact with any other food, I think it looked good enough to eat.however, there is no bag in the trashcan, and there's no way of knowing when the last time it was cleaned and what other things may have been in there, including raw meats and spoiled foods. so it's definitely a gamble.the biggest concern though is the location. this is something you execute when no one else is around. you risk too much damage to your character and standing in the group. this comes down to class, and the people he chose to do this around wasn't the type of people you risk eating from the trash around.

>>222624041not only on top, but on top of a magazine. it might as well have been on a table.
>>222624320You fat fuck, use the shift key.
>>222624041This looks perfectly fine to eat.
>>222624041you don't know how regulary they clean the bin, and the bin itself not having a bag is enough reason to not eat it.
>>222624559no. this is my prose. do you also have a problem with Cormac McCarthy's lack of punctuation in his prose? he's far more successful than you will ever be and doesn't give a damn what about what some mook like you has to say about prose either
>>222624619yes I have a problem, you write like a fag
>>222624694tomorrow I can use the shift key, but you'll be a faggot forever
>>222624041If that was a log of Tom Hollands shit I would eat it in a heartbeat
