It fits in beautifully with the shitty-yet-comfy 70s/80s NYC alongside stuff like Taxi Driver, Maniac, Street Trash, Basket Case, Q: The Winged Serpent, and the opening sequences of a million exploitation movies from Italy. I'm convinced that The Warriors was the inspiration for beat-em-up games like Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, and Final Fight. The only thing that's missing is the villain gang kidnapping the MC's girlfriend.

Bowie is actually great and it's possible it's the best anyone has ever looked on film. Gets weird but it's one of my favorites, Nicolas Roeg is a legend for a reason. On which note Walkabout deserves to be in this thread. Really anything by Roeg, he's underrated.

He just added deleted scene and changed a few scenes order, that's all.
