Are you a fan of this one /tv/?

Its certainly an interesting tv movie. Clearly the people that made it liked the comics and it embraces the costumes a bit more than Singer's movies did, its really just limited by its tv movie budget. I thought they did a pretty good job with Emma Frost but it was odd that Jubilee wasn't Asian even tho I thought that was pretty established, unless the actress was hapa or something

I was this desperate for more X-material when I was a little kid (the cartoon was so goated) that I flipped out just to hear them mention Professor Xavier in passing in this show.
>>
>>222767838
I remember the villain being Jim Carrey's Riddler 2.0 - same mannerisms, voice and even dream device plot

I wonder if they'll have Jean strip in front of Emma in the new movie like they did with Jubilee in this movie

I believe it was supposed to be a back door pilot, which, if it got picked up, would have been part of "X-night" with Mulder and Scully. That would have been a pretty cool line up.
>>
Don't forget about the Nick Fury movie with David Hasslehoff they did at the same time
>>

I only saw this once - when it originally aired. It was much better than the Fox movies that came out afterward. I really liked the Generation X comic for the first year or two, especially the artwork
>>
>>222767838
I think i saw this 25 years ago, didn't feel real. This the one where a guy with x-ray vision sees a muscle mommy's dick through her clothes?

The technology just wasn't there yet to convincingly bring most superheroes to the screen
>>
>>222767838
I saw it when it aired as a kid but haven't seen it anywhere since. I remember Finola being hot AF though.

The mansion they filmed at for Xavier's school was the same one later used in the main movies

You now remember where Raziel came from.

Cool. Thanks.
>>
Remember Marvel's Mutant X show? Aka 'Legally Not X-Men Because Fox Sued Us'?
>>
>>222769398
Not only was it peak 90's syndicated tv show brilliance. But they actually ripped off the show in the comics later.

The hot redhead later got naked in a Canadian sex movie.
>>
>>222767838
I like TV movies from that era. Gen X makes for a good double feature with G-Saviour - another Canadian made-for-tv adaption of a sci-fi property (this one being Gundam)

Bachalo's art is so kino in this book
>>
>>222767838
I remember watching it on VHS. Pretty cool

Hasselhoff was born to play the classic Nick Fury
>>
>>222769020
that was horrible, and not in a good or funny way. 90mins long and nobody ever used a single mutant power.
>>
I remember watching this as a family cause we all loved the x-men cartoon. What a weird no budget movie. I was so young I don't think I identified it as bad, just that they didn't use the characters we liked.

>just that they didn't use the characters we liked.

I remember thinking the same. I guess later I realized they were characters from the actual Generation X comic (like Skin, Mondo, etc...)

>90mins long and nobody ever used a single mutant power.

They don't use their powers often (due to budget) but Jubilee, Emma, Banshee, Skin, etc... all use their powers at least once in the movie

I enjoy this one too.

Hell.yeah! I.remember the pretty, black girl from Battlestar Galactica is a genetically perfect being in it.

Jubilee was hot here. The later iterations make her pure Chinese instead of a cute hapa.

Looks alright for the 90s. Xena made it work, same for highlander.
