Visually it's amazing. The premise is fine. My problem is the writing. The plot is more convoluted than it needs to be. That's been a thing ever since the 2000s... over-engineering plots because everyone thinks extra backstory and secret motives make good story.

I wasnt a fan but have warmed somewhat over the years. I didn't like how jumbled of a plot it was, I didn't like how it didn't feature Tron mostly but a mind controlled version of him that didn't reveal himself till the end. The visuals were very good and I feel more could have been done with it if it had a better script. Still it DID actually have Tron in it, which is more than I can say for Leto's version.
