Both are amazing, both are some of the best TV documentary shows ever made. I found Arthur C. Clarke to be a little dry for me but still really enjoyed that show when I was a kid.

I fucking love In Search Of and consider it maybe the best alternative documentary show ever made. Leonard Nimoy as host was just perfect and that show had probably the best music of any TV show of the 70s. I would watch anytime it came on as a kid. Today in my 40s, I'll still pull up In Search Of on Youtube occasionally because they're so kino and re-watchable. I just watched the DB Cooper episode last week. Cannot say enough good things about that show.

I need to find some Arthur C Clarke and give those another shot since I haven't seen them in probably close to 30 years.

Mysterious World was a bit more grounded and showed skepticism when things got too weird. In Search Of was basically "Choose whichever thing we talk about as the explanation" and had shit like Leonard Nimoy asking how Native Americans knew what elephants looked like when mammoths and mastodons lived alongside them.

I'm watching Ep1 of Mysterious World right now and it is pretty great. I still feel like it is dryer than In Search Of but much more grounded where In Search Of could get pretty woo woo. Both shows are great.
