I would have invested a week of my time, taught her how to shoot, found a house and secured it, and built up a decent stockpile of food and clean water. Then I'd leave quietly in the middle of the night, leaving a gun and ammunition behind. That way my hands are washed of having to take care of (and watch my back around) a psychopath, but I'd also be leaving her with a fighting chance of looking after herself.
