Anybody else here remember how they were initially saying way back in 2005 that the rumors of Stargate SG-1 getting cancelled were just that, rumors, but then a few months later they just decided to cancel the series without much explanation? They were all like, "oh no don't worry Stargate SG-1 isn't getting cancelled we still got so many story arcs to cover."But then they were all like, "oh no don't worry we cancelled Stargate SG-1 but we still have another spin-off series planned and a trilogy of made-for-TV movies and even theatrical releases."Anyone? Anyone?
>>222786723Little bro what are you talking about? They were in constant fear of getting canceled. That's why there's like 2 soft endings before they actually did get canceled, which they actually didn't find out about until a month before they got to film the final 2 episodes, which they used to do another last minute finale.
GOOLD?
>>222786723>Watch continuum special features >Comic con interview >Some guy is like "We're so sad to see you guy">Walter is all like "oh we're not going anywhere!">Third movie never happens
>>222786831Naw man I distinctly remember browsing the IMDb boards and someone posting a link to a 2005 interview in which one of the writers was saying that Stargate SG-1 was far from getting cancelled then a few months later they were like "lol jk enjoy the last few episodes of your cancelled show that we confirmed still had a lot of loose ends a few months ago"
>>222786723that was corin nemec he used to post all sorts of lies under different aliases on the forums

>>222786723>we still got so many story arcs to coverDoubt. While the ending at season 10 was decent, the Ori storyline was already exhausted. The only way forward is a new show, which they got with SGA and SGU. What you really meant by this thread was them stupidly cancelling Universe. What they need to do now is write and run a 5 season show that unifies and resolves all three shows. I'd try making it work like this:>Advance several years to fit actors aging.>Start with picking up where Destiny left off.>Ideas around Atlantis resting in San Fran bay.>Full disclosure, seeding some Earth-centric episodes.>SG1 and the moon base.>Lucian alliance joining forces with scattered remnants of all the galactic bad guys SG teams defeated within 10-20 years.>They're pissed because puny little Earth suddenly came along and took their reigns of generational powerThing is, this would end the franchise. If it ends on a good note, I'm happy with that. Don't need another Star Wars/Trek reboot disaster.
>>222788249>I heard that Jonas has a ten inch cock. I believe it, but I don't know how they'll reveal that in the show. Here's my evidence.
My wife Reese.
>>222786723stargate was always shit
>>222789924Obviously Nirrti was going to give him a horsecock then go to town.
Has the Jonasposter been Corin Nemec this entire time?
>>222789908The difference between the cancellation of Stargate SG-1 and the cancellation of Stargate Universe, though, is that the reason for the cancellation of Stargate SG-1 was abrupt and wasn't immediately revealed while the cancellation of Stargate Universe almost seemed inevitable within the first few episodes as the fans immediately began ridiculing it and comparing it to Battlestar Galactica and that one mock-off scene in an episode of Stargate SG-1 in which all the characters were replaced by teenagers.>>222789934True true but it scratches an illusory hard sci-fi itch that neither Star Trek nor Star Wars can quite scratch
>>222790344It hasn't always been me
>>222789934Yeah but it had a good sense of humor about it.
