Lightning in a bottle. I don't even want a faithful retelling the story with a new cast and heaven save us from the reboot.
>>222788842Babylon 5 is great, but it could do with a lot of editing and some changes. Still without the actors for Delen, G'kar and Londo, it can never be remade even half as good.
i have literally zero hopes for this.
>>222789299>could do with a lot of editingWhat's wrong with editing? Almost everyone complains about cheap CGI and you can see the low budget but other than that.
>>222788842Isn't Babylon 5 super Mormon? How will modern Hollywood subvert it?
The maddening thing is that all you need to say is 'we're making a new space opera' and people will tune in. There is massive demand for a show like that which has the writing and worldbuilding to back it up with basically no competition these days.Even Seth MacFarlane's parody show ended up getting multiple seasons which says a lot considering how it lost its star character.>>222789450It doesn't even look THAT bad imo. I don't get how people can complain about this so much when it's not an action movie and most of the space scenes are second to the dialogue and acting. My problem will always be that they had to rush everything but then ended up with another season anyway. The show needed more time to go over the Earth War and the Minbari ended up being lame to drive the plot forward.

I wish JMS spent more time fleshing out the Shadow war and the Earth civil war.
>>222788842The real problem with the show now is that you could remake it, 1:1 changing absolutely nothing, and the internet would still eat itself over President Clark being a woke Trump analogy.
