Season 5 is when the patients, and medical mysteries, and drama start to get genuinely weak. But it arguably has the best season finale in all of television. Season 6, is just entirely bad from my memory, and what they were trying to do with House in the mental hospital was bad psychology. It was twitter psychoanalyzing tier. Forgetting everything that made House complex to focus on House from the normie perspective, that the earlier seasons took great effort to show House is more complicated than merely "miserable". Season 7 finale committed the sin of no return though.
