I have survived to middle age with half my Ritz, while thousands have died with all of theirs intact. Evidently, quality of Ritz is more important than quantity.

is there a list of nice well made bbc mini-series? I liked this one a lot. It's filmed theater, and it's such a nice concept. Why can't modern bbc or even streaming make something like this?

PBS-BBC - filmed theater series just adapting a bunch of books and theater plays. how hard is that?

RIP Roman Britain. Can you imagine a functional continuation of Roman britain? The entire language would be different. There would be way more latin in English. There'd be a continuation of written language - which stopped for a few centuries after the Romans left.

Brits do not want to admit that they were just tribals with simple villages before the Romans showed up and created cities and connected them to the empire. Real British history has to reboot in 1066, and it takes them a few centuries to get going again.

Yes. You can produce one yourself with IMDB's search feature.

There was a 19th century British Nationalist movement that specifically elevanted Boudica because they needed a national hero that wasn't just a Roman administrator. Then in the late 20th century, Feminists and their beta male allies elevated her to absurd proportions, basing it on the 19th century british nationalist writings, making her some kind of genius queen.

Meanwhile, the real story of Britain is divided tribals with low level of culture and technology, not even written language. It took the Roman invasions to found Britain proper, creating many of the cities that still exist today. Written language actually died out after the Romans left, and it took centuries to rebuild.

Britain was by far the worst hit, since they had nothing outside of the Romans.

Whenever you hear someone hype up Boudica it's more or less propaganda. It really should be "Dumb bitch gets thousands massacred for persona petty reasons".

She was right, though. Nero was severely out of line with his self-aggrandizement at the cost of local elites.
