RIP Roman Britain. Can you imagine a functional continuation of Roman britain? The entire language would be different. There would be way more latin in English. There'd be a continuation of written language - which stopped for a few centuries after the Romans left. Brits do not want to admit that they were just tribals with simple villages before the Romans showed up and created cities and connected them to the empire. Real British history has to reboot in 1066, and it takes them a few centuries to get going again.
