more like this? I really love this movie, thought it was a lot of fun doesn't necessarily have to be about the same, the vibes are what I like the most about it
>>222790024ace in the hole is KINDA similar
>>222790024Villeneuve's Enemy (2013)
>>222790024goodfellas
>>222790024bumping
>>222790024By "the vibes" do you mean driving around at night and fights and shit? Or do you mean films talking about the issues behind American news media? Two entirely different orders.
>>222791984Yeah the night vibes and the action. Nightcrawler's climax is great. I think taxi driver has similar vibes too.
theres a movie called drive with ryan gosling, not sure if youve heard of it but its similar
>>222790024Good Time
>>222792134IntensityCollatoral
>>222790024The movie that Nightcrawler should have done a crossover sequel with, in a better timeline

>>222790024Easily one of my favorite movies of all time. I highly recommend his follow up "Velvet Buzzsaw" as long as you're not retarded at least. It's kinda sold as a horror movie but it is not even remotely horror. It is a satirical black comedy that is very intentionally making jabs at the LA art/Hollywood film critic scene. It also stars Jake Gyllenhaal. I was deep belly laughing at the caricatures in this film.
>>222790024Under the Silver lake has a fairly similar dark tone despite being wildly different plot-wise.
>>222792522>>222792561Velvet buzzsaw is his follow-up but isn't really the same as Nightcrawler. I looked through my list and found this movie though which I think does live up to its feels. Rebels of the Neon God
>>222792435Drive is basically a Hallmark movie but for guys
>>222792216No one with any sense is still watching that pathetic incel dogwhistle at this point.
>>222792644>incel dogwhistlegood genre. op said he liked taxi driver too
>>222792638No, because it's not cheap or lazy. It has a particular style it's aiming for, high quality cinematography and stunt work and so on. Picrel is the REAL equivalent of Hallmark movies for guys
this maybe
Blow Out
>>222792728Massively kino but not remotely sharing the tone of the Nightcrawler.
>>222790024Bringing Out The Dead.
>>222792728Thief is cool af but the talented mr. Ripley would be a greater similarity to a sociopathic character scheming his way through any opportunity he sees.

>>222792786>>222794955I was watching again the other night. Hadn’t seen it in years I forgot how much it drags on. It starts out really good.
>>222792786Blow Out fits more because Nightcrawler is more about the voyeur photographer/video side, which I also want more of
>>222795312I watched it again recently too after seeing it some time in the past but I had the opposite reaction. I was gripped the whole time and it left me with my jaw on the floor. One of the most haunting films I've seen.
>>222790024Brick (2005) for similarish neo-noir vibes.
