How did they lose to a bunch of Ewoks?
They didn't, you fell for the propaganda.
>>222796423Lucas was masturbating furiously to the idea of a stone age civilization beating a high tech civilization.
>>222796423There were 200 Ewoks living in Bright Tree Village and they defeated an entire legion of the Emperor's best troops. A Stormtrooper legion consists of four regiments totaling 12,800 troops.
George Lucas thought the toys would sell.
>>222796423apes alone...weakapes together...strong
>>222796423Lucas was starting to go in into the think of the marketing potential and to him having the best imperial legions job to some teddies bears was okay so long as the kids bought the toys
>>222796565who were the ewoks for again?12 year old boys like jedi and spaceships not teddy bears.
>>222796554Obviously the entire legion was not on thr forest moon at the same time.
>>222796423how did the US lose every war they've been in since ww2?
>>222796423An army that is ready for inspection isn't ready for battle, and an army that is ready for battle isn't ready for inspection.Vader and the Emperor are martinets. They're obsessed with shine and polish and men who can stand at attention for hours while standing in neat little rows and columns. They made an army that looks very impressive and imposing, but crumbles to pieces under the pressure of actual battle. The reason the Rebel army on Hoth was routed by the Imperial army is that they were trying to compete against them at their own game. The Ewoks are true guerillas, each soldier is a General in his own right and an army unto itself. Numbers, tactics, even strategy means nothing against such a force.Look at the giant robotic platforms the Empire brought to Endor: huge, clunky, clumsy, overengineered, and insanely expensive. Look at how the Ewoks destroyed them with ease. What did they need? Sticks and stones. Uneven terrain. Trees for cover. Lives. The cheapest and most readily available resources against a supply chain that spanned across an entire galaxy. And look at what that galactic supply chain cost the Empire! Because of how overstretched and overextended their control of the galaxy was, several worlds and systems were in various stages of rebellion. Powerful allies from across the galaxy came to fight by the Ewoks' side, wookies, robots, princesses, space pirates, Jedi Knights, making up for what the Ewoks lacked. The Empire was alone, no allies, no help, utterly reliant on technology that was of limited utility and yet very great expense. Real power vs. the appearance of power.
